hurrah for me...

...or how i've managed to keep this up for six months without missing a day. trying to look like a serious author, even at a young age

i usually have a problem sticking with things; i tend to get bored easily and once i've done something, well, then i've done it and i'm done with it. but for some reason i've stuck with this. as i've been waking so early and going into the office so early, it has still been dark and therefore difficult to read on the walk in. that leaves me too much time for self analysis, and no one can shrink my head and dissect my every motivation better than i can.

my psychiatric skills seems to be failing me.

more than anything, i have come to the conclusion objects at rest tend to remain at rest, objects in motion will stay in motion. i love it when i get all scientific about mundane things. but it is true, i started this and it is now part of my routine and if i even hint to myself that i might like a thursday off, the universe feels out of tilt: the words must remain in motion.

i would be remiss if i didn't also admit that there is a streak of stubbornness involved. unlike the ambition gene, which i am sorely lacking, i have a wicked strong stubborn gene that chooses to exert its influence at the oddest times; i cannot pick my battles worth a damn. so i stayed in a horrid marriage for nine years [ i will make this work, i will make this work ], i drink eight glasses of water a day even if it means i have to beg borrow and steal the stuff [ i can be a camel, i can be a camel ], and i write here every weekday [ i am amusing and creative and my friends are hanging on my every word, i am amusing and creative and my friends are hanging on my every word ].

okay, so no one is hanging on my every word, with the possible exception of peter parker who is occasionally subjected to me reading the entries aloud, but he hangs on my every word no matter what it is. i like that in a fan.
