fools
april fool's day is one of those i hate, much like st patrick's day and halloween.
dressing up like characters from television, being mercilessly pinched for not wearing even a smidgen of green, any manner of juvenile practical joke... none of these things will ever be near my list of top 100 things that make me happy. not even near the top 1000, 10,000. or 1,000,000.
i'm sure it is a failing in me.
i am having delusions of css mastery.
okay, not exactly mastery, but i have been playing around with it and while there are still things i am learning and things i will change, i decided to go ahead and put it up. it may end up being one big april fool's, and the old design will return anon. especially since i had a gander in ie5 and for no apparent reason, two of the pages [jukebox and library] are suddenly graced with the presence of a horizontal scroll bar. if anyone has a clue why this is happening, please please please drop me a line as i am about to rip my hair out. at least the evil scroll bars don't show in ie4, which i use here at home so i am blissfully insulated from their aesthetic horrors in the morning.
and while the new main page take forever to load on my 14.4 modem*, i am completely enchanted with my first animated gif. i've always wanted one and now i've made one.

* can you believe i still use a 14.4? i find it remarkably serviceable and as i am a relatively patient person, there are few things that truly frustrate me as i wait for them to download. it does seem to be disconnecting me at random more and more often, so i suppose i will have to finally join the real world at 56k one of these days.
