The Site Owner's
Contract
-I will update everyday, without fail.
-I will have new litters up for adoption every week or more.
-I will dedicate my life to the petz community. Nothing will ever come
before the community and my site, be it school, friends, or other
activities.
-I will be your personal hexing tutorial. Ask me any hexing question in
a form as rude as you like, and you're guaranteed a polite and speedy
answer, even if the answer to the question was covered in my tutorials.
-I am your personal graphics designer. Feel free to demand me to create
graphics for your site! I'm also available online at any moment to walk
you through PSP step by step.
-I will never feel angry, frustrated, or upset at anyone in the
community for any reason.
-You have the right to steal my graphics, original ideas, and litters
and claim them for your own.
-I will ALWAYS give you the pet you apply for, even if your adoption
form was terrible.
-I can custom hex for you anything you like. I will put the needs of
your site above my own personal needs and desires.
-I will always be upbeat, happy, and joyful.
-I will never use a color scheme that has ever been used by someone else
on the web. (Next layout: Puke green and orange! Yay!)
-After talking to you twice online, I am now your best friend.
-Even though I don't know you at all, I'll gladly make you a Sister
Site!
-I will share every bit of hexing I know with you, even if I've only
talked to you for a few minutes.
-If I create an original feature, I expect to see it copied a hundred
times over onto other sites.
-If I create a unique litter, I realize that I must inform all who ask
how to make the litter.
-I understand that if I am talk about how happy I am to have figured out
a new hexing feature, or a new layout concept, I'll be accused of
bragging.
-My personal petz, which I bred for myself, must be handed out to all
those that request them.
-Nothing will be created for myself. Everything I create on my site is
for everyone in the Petz Community.
-Everything I own in the petz community is free for anyone and anytime, and if I ask for anything, I will be patronized and yelled at.
-My opinions will mean nothing, I will never be right, and if someone accuses me of something, I have no right to defend myself and the blame is put on me.
-I realize that I'll be hated for no reason, that people will judge me
based on my site and rumors they've heard, and that then the people who
hate me will turn around and expect me to give them what they want at
the drop of a hat.
MOST IMPORTANTLY:
I swear that I will lay down and let everyone walk over me at any time.
I understand that the community has the right to criticize, blame, and
yell at me for everything I do or don't do. I understand that people are
watching every move I make, and are ready to hastily inform me of my
slightest slip-ups.
Sound unreasonable?
Well, it's what some of you are asking of Site Owners.
Not all of you- I know for the most part, the compliments out-weigh the
hatemail and the insults.
Please. We're real people with real lives. Believe it or not, we don't
spend our time trying to figure out which part of the Petz Community to
destroy next. We are in this community to have fun and meet friends.
Be Nice. It's as simple as that. Don't insult people and tell them you
think their site sucks. It isn't that difficult. Just use some good
judgement and be a nice person.
My Message To Site Owners:
Don't give up. People will hate you for no reason. They'll tear your
site apart. They'll watch your every move, waiting for you to slip up
just once. They'll talk about you behind your back and claim everything
you do is wrong, mean, egotistical, etc. But just remember that the
people like that are the ones that are jealous of you. And always
remember that there are ALWAYS people that will love your site and will
KNOW that you're a nice person.
