I purchased the bike new in 1996 after riding around for 6 months
on a Yamaha Virago XV535. Boy, what a difference it made. Cruisers are nice bikes
but just nice. A GSXR is a Superbike and it performs like one. It is a thrill a minute.
Here is a couple of things I have done since buying this baby. Using a very limited budget.
The stock exhaust has been replaced with a Yoshimura cyclone slip-on and the filter is a free flowing K&N replacement. These parts were taken off another bike, which was tuned with a dynometer. A scan of the Dyno Chart is included here to give an idea of the difference it produced.

A new set of aftermarket mirrors is almost a kilo lighter and still keeps the bike street legal. A couple of rubber studs mounted to the side will give some protection to the fairing in the event of a fall.
