Lexington Community College is located at the old college park library 36 Wheeler AVE. and they have many classes to offer at a very reasonable rate. Visit thier web site at LCC. Or phone them at 859-737-3098.
Clark County Community Education is at the same location and thier phone # is 859-745-3946. They offer many programs such as one stroke painting, quilting, photography, Dance, Piano, web design, Drivers Ed and Spanish to name a few.
Linda Rake is once again working with the migrant worker program and is looking for volunteers. If you are interested in this program please contact her at 744-1013.
Hello! My name is Christina Cohen and I am the Marketing Manager for the Pep
Club of Lexington and the HIT center. We would like to offer the home school
population of central KY a group physical education program at our facility,
the Omni Center, located at 261 Ruccio Way in Lexington (behind Meijer's off
Reynold's Rd).
Our 71,000 square foot facility houses several gyms in which we teach dance,
cheerleading, tumbling, and gymnastics. In addition, the HIT Center prides
itself on training any athlete of any age for any sport. They also house
KY's only PRO BATTER, a hi-tech video simulation pitching machine, one of
only 38 in the world!
Many of our coaches received their degrees in education, and we are in the
process of developing a regular weekly Phys. Ed. curriculum to offer to the
home school population of central KY. We would welcome the chance to explore
this concept with your students and families.

There has been alot of discussion about art so I hope this site may help us out some. Free art lessons through a new web site! Teach Art At Home Has their free art web site up now for all to enjoy. The home schooling mom(and art teacher),Karine Bauch, is featuring a free different art lesson every month(so you may want to print it as it will only be available for that month and change to a different lesson the following month) along with projects and crafts to create with your children-free! Plus, you can send in a photo of the project your child has worked on and she says she may publish it on her web site. Her monthly email art letter has been wonderful. I have done this and they have some great videos to use in your homeschool. Just go to Video Placement Worldwide and you can choose from a wide variety of videos to teach everything from Driving saftey, to from concept to consumer (food product develpment), to veteranary medicine or even UL saftey. These videos ar totaly free but they do take 3-6 months to arrive to your house.They are sorted by age/grade level from preschool to highschool.
