Co-Operative Democracy
By: Steve Smith
I have previously discussed and proposed a model of co-operative democracy in another context through the Clump. This is a new version of the original idea.
Please read article "Competition and Co-operation" in the Editorial of this web site. This article is very important to understand co-operative democracy.
This model applies for local, state and federal governments.
All political parties are abandoned, because they promote unfair competition. Every elected person is an independent and can make a statement of their position on any issue with complete freedom. They can vote their conscience. Every person who runs for election runs as an independent. All elected persons in a government then form a level 1 and proceed according to the article "Co-operative Demographic Organization Model" (in the Editorial) to structure up teams and a hierarchy of teams and follow all points in this article.
Profit sharing may not be relevant for a government.
Staff and all other government bodies and everyone employed by the government could also be converted and structured up as Co-operative Demographic Organizations separately from the elected politicians. All organizations in the government must always co-operate completely with each other. Governments should also always co-operate with each other.
One way to promote co-operation between governments is for the two governments to have a casual walk-around party to get to know each other. They should not talk about work.
