Markov Algorithm

When I was doing my Science degree at the University of Queensland, in one of the Computer Science courses, we were asked to write a certain Markov algorithm. It is known that it can be done in 9 lines, but it was thought it cuold be done in 6 lines. I was in fact able to write this Markov algorithm in 6 lines. No one else in the class could. This Markov algorithm is a solution to a fundamental mathematical problem and has cryptography applications. This is on record with the University of Queeensland, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
