Race Reports
Culham moto park 27/02/2001:
Heat Race: This is my first race as an adult,so i was a little nervous going to the gate. I gated well,i was first 125 in to turn one. I seemed to dial in to the pace quickly, someone went down in front me so i had no chioce but to ride over his bike and that didn't seem to phase me at all. Half way through the race i decided that i could take the guys in front of me on a technical section, and i stayed there for the rest of the race.
A Final (Race 1):I went to the line for the "A" final really stoked with my first race position, but i was "late on the gate" so i didn't get a very good start, which is important against the bigger bikes especially with an uphill start. I came out of turn one in about 20th place,by the halfway mark i'd got trough to roughly 12th place, then i got stuck in a deep rut! I droped way back and had to start again but managed a reasonable result considering the  circumstances.
Race position: 5th place
Race position: 18th place
A Final (Race 2):This race started a lot better, the Dunlop's hooked up perfectly and i got great traction, good enough to get me about 6th off the gate. But as i was going up the hill i tangled bars with someone and had to shift down twice, that put me in about 20th. I worked hard to come back through the pack and then i GOT STUCK IN A RUT again! I was stuck in there for 3 laps, the bike was stuck fast, and even with the help of Dad we struggled to get it out.Oh well, thats moto-x for you.
Race position: DNF

Enstone Farm 20/05/2001:
Race 1: I gated excellent, I was first in to the first corner then got passed coming out so that put me into second. I held second for a while and had to push people out to the ropes to stop them getting passed me, I was trying to be as aggressive as I could, and it was working! About 4 laps from the end I started to get arm pump because I hadn't ridden for nearly 4 weeks, Some guy's passed me and that put me down to 5th, then disaster struck. I was aproaching a jump when the front seemed to lock and it through me off balance which made the bike highside, it then through me off completely slammed me into the face of the tabletop, bounced me on top of it then crushed me going down the side of the table top. This resulted in a trip to hospital.
Race position:DNF
Race 2: I got a good seating position in the hospital but got held up and had to wait for TWO HOURS!
Race position:DNF
Race 3: Still in hospital, trying  not to go to sleep, because I felt drowsey after being knocked out!
Race position:DNF
Canada Heights 27/05/01:
Race 1: I got off the gate good, despite the water they put down. For those of you who don't know, it's a concreate start.I was swamped by the four strokes after about the first 15 metre's of the uphill start. There was a big pile up in the corner which put me back to about 30th.By the next lap I had got all the way up to 11th. I then closed up on the others real quick and battled my way in to 9th.Then as i was going up the uphill ski-jumps at the back,I jumped too far and hit some lose mud, this resulted in the front washing out on me, and me winding myself.I had bent the clutch lever so i rode slowly for the next lap as I had lost too much time on the riders. This meant i was in last, and put in to the C Final
Race 2: I got out the gate good again, then swamped by the big four strokes again.I battled hard with a guy on a YZF426 for about three laps, then decided I was losing too much time so I had to put a block pass on him and put him over the top of a berm! I then made it easily through the pack up to second which was where I stayed for the rest of the race.
Race Position:2nd
Race Position:30th
Race 3: I had the same start again, off the gate good and swamped by the four strokes. This time I found the race easier for the first few laps so I started doing the "one handers" for the crowd. Towards the end I started to suffer from arm pump as the track was real ruff. I still managed to finish 2nd though.
Race Position:2nd
