FAMILY & HISTORY Our first Aussie was purchased by Warren in 1967, and we called her "Dolly". We later established our kennel for a family activity in 1977 with the purchase of our "Blue" dog. Therefore the name CJR, after our daughters Christine, Jennifer & Rachel. Our kennel colors are taken from their birthstone colors & green as a base. Jennifer & Rachel each received certificates from ASCA for participation in the Junior Handling Program. Jennifer placed 2nd All Around in Nation in 1986 by attaining certificates in Conformation, Obedience & Working Stock. Rachel also placed 1st in Obedience in her age division for our region (which consisted of several states). Our daughters are now married and have families of their own. This past year our grandsons (Dillon & Caleb at age 1 1/2) showed for their first time in Tot Junior Handling with their family's Aussies. Warren has been active in the working part of the breed since 1980. This led us into the "Farm" side of our web site. We started with mixed breed sheep and moved into the Targhee sheep to provide a little income as well as using them in working the Aussies. We have both been active ASCA members, as well as of local affiliates (ASC of MI & SEMASA). Warren has served as president of both clubs, and Judy has served as treasurer of ASC of MI. We have also been part of the National's committee when held in Michigan (1982 & 1995). |
