Compatible with rechargables only! Xmods can handle approximately 8.4 volts max. Rechargable batteries are rated at 1.2 volts each = 1.2 x 6 = 7.2 volts This is well within Xmods voltage tolerance levels. Alkalines are rated at 1.5 volts each = 1.5 x 6 = 9 volts This is exceeds Xmods voltage tolerance levels. Never mix alkalines with rechargables.
FAST & EZ INSTALLATION. Can be installed with or without soldering.
Some body modification may be required for installation. All body modifications is the responsibility of the buyer. I do give tips on modifying the body to fit the 6th cell battery pack, but final fit is left to the buyer. Should work using my tips in the Civic, Skyline, and Supra. Does not fit the Nissan 350Z or the Acura RSX. Fit has not yet been determined for newly released body styles.

NOTE: Please note, though I give tips on how I installed the 6 cell battery mod on my Supra, the responsibility of modifying the car for proper fit lies with the buyer. In general this is the procedure most commonly used when adding the 6 cell mods. The easiest bodies to modify are the Nissan Skyline, Honda Civic, Chevy Camaro, Ford Mustang, and Subaru WRX. In each case though, it will be a tight fit. The mod will not fit in the Acura RSX and Nissan 350Z. It has not yet been determined whether or not it will fit in the new Body Styles.
Due to the slight variations in the manufacturing of the Xmods bodies, 2 exact body styles may fit differently. For example: Look at the photo below. They are actually 2 different Supra bodies. Look at the one on the left. Notice how I had to cock the battery pack at a slight angle for it to fit properly on the chassis. Now look at the one on the right. It fit perfectly laying straight in the body. You may experience the same. In most cases when adding a battery pack, you cannot use the metal heat sink that comes with the motor upgrades. Just use the stock plastic motor mount that came with your car.
In most cases for installing a 6 cell battery pack, you will have to remove the command logic lights mounting posts and the L brackets underneath the rear body mount. I used a dremel tool to grind them away. To give a clean look I recommend sanding them smooth but it is not necessary.
Mounting the battery pack on the body is generally done using thick double sided tape. I just used masking tape rolled in reverse so that the sticky part of the tape would be on the out side. When placing the body on the chassis, you may need a pen or thin long object to help guide the wires off to the side of the battery pack. It will be a tight fit. I did have to use some pressure in order to mount the body and secure the rear body mount with the locking lever underneath the car.
Thats pretty much it. Again, please note that these are just tips on how I mounted the system on my car. Other cars may require more or less modding but this is typically the most common method.
