Hi,my name is Catherine ,welcome to Dryer's Korner..It's all about Fred Dryer.I've been a big fan of Fred's for years,like a lot of you.So enjoy. Fred has worked both sides of the camera for years as an actor,producer,executive producer and writer. He achieved popularity as homicide detective sergent Rick Hunter on the 80's cop show 'Hunter' that ran for 7 years.He directed some of the episodes and was executive producer the last sereval years of Hunter. He also produced a TV series "Land's End'which he stared in as former LAPD detective Mike Land,whose wife had been killed by a drug dealer before he quit the police force.It had 20 episodes.It unfortunately went only for one season. Now he has his own company 'Fred Dryer Productions'.Through his company ,he returned to his role as Rick Hunter, now Liteutenant,on 'The Return of Hunter:Everyone Walks in L.A.'-1995.Where Hunter's fiancee is murdered on Valentines Day. His company has just put out his feature film 'Highway 395' in which he directed and stared as sheriff Rawley Wade.You can buy the video at his web site freddryer.com.While you're there check out his memorabilia and merchandise in his store. Fred has a huge following over seas in Europe,S.America,Asia and especialy in China,over 400 million people in China tune to Hunter weekly..#1 in France,#2 in Italy for the best US program in 2000. "Hunter" fans will be glad to know that both ,Fred Dryer and Stepfanie Kramer, did not one ,but two "Hunter" reunion movies. They kicked off with "Return to Justice" , with former cop partners Det.Rick Hunter and Det.DeeDee McCall reunited. Then Back in Force,they join forces to fight the bad guys again. Then 3 new episodes; Vaya Sin Dios / Untounchable / Dead Heat. The last two were canceled ( Need to Know and Protect and Serve.) |
