Copper Creek

I hear the restless water beckoning to me
waves clapping, slapping, turning and thrusting
Old lives die and new ones begin,
Trusting

Why would I limit myself to what once was
when I am limitless & I could be -
- Infinity!

I am all water - shapeshifting, misting
I am all air - blowing, igniting
I am all earth - receptive and verdant
I am all fire - passionate and consuming
I am all ether - silent, yet everpresent

All am I - good and bad
worn and new, toxic and pristine
As the copper creek merges into the freshly churned river
all my shortcomings are contained and caressed by the One.
Why travel upstream - fighting to recall past polluters -
when I could let go, merge with the One & flow to my destiny!

When waters call, I will go
I - the many - seeking to be one
& if I fear to lose myself & draw back
Then I lose life itself!

Give up the fear - it serves me not
Never comes the door when fear is not holding it open
(Always comes the door which Life is holding open)
Inviting, yet warning, "You will change forever!"
