�Em,� Jason said.
�Emily,� Elizabeth said.
�No�I thought it was great you two being friends but I never thought you�d take advantage of her,� Emily said.
�If you believe that then you don�t know him very well,� Elizabeth said.
�What am I suppose to think your both standing here half naked,� Emily said.
�Emily I love you, you�re my little sister but this is really none of your business,� Jason said.
�She my best friend,� Emily said.
�Em do you want me to be happy,� Elizabeth said.
�That all I�ve ever wanted since Lucky�s death,� Emily said.
�I�m in charge of me and Jason helped me do that�and I�m happy,� Elizabeth said.
�I need to go,� Emily said.
Emily walked out and Jason walked behind Elizabeth and put his hand on her shoulder. He was afraid she would tense up but she didn�t if anything she relaxed. He still felt weak but he new that it wouldn�t be long as he would be as good as new. Carly was glad to see Elizabeth wasn�t working today and got a table close to that of Emily and Nikolas�s.
�They were standing there half naked,� Emily said.
�How could Jason do this to her, no offense but he�s just using her,� Nikolas said.
�She swears she happy and in charge of her own life,� Emily said.
�That still gives Jason no right to trick her into bed,� Nikolas said.
�I�m so confused he�s my brother but,� Emily said.
As Carly listened to their conversation she felt herself get dizzy and sick to her stomach. She got up from her seat and walked out the door. Jason was sleeping with Elizabeth, should he even being doing that in his condition. No she didn�t believe it they were close but they weren�t sleeping together. Tears filled her eyes it was time she let him go.
Jason was feeling a lot better he could move around pretty good and the pain was almost gone. He liked being this close to Elizabeth; he knew he could really trust her. They�d seat there on her bed and talk for hours it didn�t matter what time it was or what they were wearing. When she needed to wash up he�d leave and come back but never entered without knocking.
�Fez,� Elizabeth said.
�That is not a country,� Jason said.
�Is so,� Elizabeth said.
�Michael is really going to like this globe,� Jason said.
�Of course...it�s from you,� Elizabeth said.
�I still say trees belong outside,� Jason said.
�I still say snow doesn�t smell,� Elizabeth said.
Elizabeth was trying to hurry she was late for the Christmas Party and she was an elf. She looked so stupid in her outfit she was just kept reminding herself it was for the children. She could feel her grandmother disapproving stare but she was taking charge of her own life.
�Elizabeth? Can I see you for a second,� Nikolas asked.
�I'm sorry I'm really late,� Elizabeth said trying to walking off.
�I'm sorry too, but this can�t wait. I called you last night Audrey said you moved out because of Jason,� Nikolas said.
�You know what? I can�t do this right now the parade is starting,� Elizabeth said.
Nikolas wanted to stop her to explain that he didn�t mean she was a slut. He never meant to imply that. He just didn�t think what they were doing was right. He watched her move away from him then started towards the parade. She was never like this before, it was all Jason fault.
�Elizabeth,� Jason said.
�Hey I can�t believe you're here,� Elizabeth said.
�Yeah me neither,� Jason said.
�Are you ok.� Elizabeth asked worried.
�Yeah I thought I'd just stand back...maybe watch Michael,� Jason said.
�Oh...What,� Elizabeth asked.
�That is the funniest outfit I have ever seen,� Jason said with a smile.
�I'm supposed to be an elf...Can�t you tell,� Elizabeth said smiling back.
�Yeah, it�s a nice hat I used to have one just like this,� Jason said.
�Jason, I need the hat back,� Elizabeth said.
Nikolas watched as he kept her hat just high enough so she couldn�t get it. Elizabeth was trying not to smile but it was failing. Jason knew something was going to happen he could feel it. He was playing around with Elizabeth until he felt someone push him.
�Leave her alone,� Nikolas said.
�You got a problem,� Jason asked.
�Yeah I said leave her alone,� Nikolas said harshly.
�Nikolas, stop,� Elizabeth said.
�Who the hell do you think you are showing up here putting your hands all over her like that, huh,� Nikolas asked.
Elizabeth knew a fight was going to start she could sense it before they spoke. Jason had a lot of his strength back so he didn�t really need her help anymore. But when the fight started all she could think about was him getting hurt again. She was getting madder and madder at Nikolas.
�Nikolas! Jason,� Elizabeth said.
�You don�t own her because you're sleeping with her,� Nikolas said.
�Jason�You guys,� Elizabeth said.
Elizabeth heard both Stefan and Sonny and thanked god because they pulled them away from each other. Stefan didn�t have the much of a problem but Sonny did. Elizabeth knew at that moment that Jason had got most of strength back. There was no hiding it anyone who looked at Elizabeth knew that she was angry. Elizabeth watched as they pulled them to separate sides of the room.
�You going to hit me again...It won�t change what you're doing to Elizabeth�You know it�s wrong,� Nikolas said.
�Stop it,� Stefan said.
�No, Nikolas, you're the one that�s wrong...You have no right to tell me what to do,� Elizabeth said.
�Let�s go,� Sonny said.
�I'm going with you,� Elizabeth said.
�Come on,� Sonny said.
�Elizabeth, please, darling. Please don�t go,� Audrey said.
�You know what I don�t care what you think I don�t care what anyone thinks this is my life,� Elizabeth said.
�You won�t have a life once he�s through with you,� Nikolas said.
�Nikolas, stop,� Stefan said still holding him back.
Everyone watched as Sonny pulled Jason into the elevator as Elizabeth walked inside. Audrey felt her heart stop at that moment, this was not happening. Carly watched also she didn�t believe they were actually sleeping together. One reason was because of him being shot. But now she did because he had a chance to say they weren�t but he didn�t.
�Are you okay,� Elizabeth asked.
�Yea, you should have stayed,� Jason said.
�And do what listen to Nikolas call me a slut again no thanks,� Elizabeth said.
�He called you a slut,� Sonny said.
�Stay out of it Sonny,� Jason said harshly.
Sonny didn�t say another word just watched them as they walked out of the elevator to where ever they went. Part of him wanted to send Johnny or Francis but didn�t. He saw Elizabeth later that day and watched her as she looked out at the water she looked tired.
�Waiting for Jason,� Sonny said.
�No he�s resting,� Elizabeth said.
�I�m glad he�s getting better,� Sonny said.
�Sonny what you guys did will take time to heal, you were more his brother than AJ,� Elizabeth said.
�So he told you,� Sonny said.
�Yea,� Elizabeth said.
�If I may ask, why did Nikolas call you a slut,� Sonny said.
�He found me looking at Jason chest we couldn�t tell him the truth so we lied,� Elizabeth said.
�And he thinks you�re sleeping together,� Sonny said.
�So does everyone else, but that�s okay as long as Jason get well,� Elizabeth said.
�You�re willing to destroy your reputation for him,� Sonny said.
�If I have to yes,� Elizabeth said.
�Well if you need anything,� Sonny said.
�I know Sonny,� Elizabeth said.
Sonny looked at her and saw just how loyal of a friend she was at the moment. She was willing to destroy herself if it meant that Jason would live and stay well. He walked off then turned around to see that she was starting back to wherever. When Elizabeth got back home she found him sleeping. She hope that he would be okay he was healing but he wasn�t healed yet.
Jason couldn�t tear his eyes away from the window on Christmas it was snowing out. Emily had come by earlier today to give him her present which was from the whole family. Elizabeth had gone to her Grandmother�s and would be back soon so it was him all by himself. He didn�t even notice she was here until he heard someone throw something.
�Hi,� Jason said.
�You know I thought Gram would just let it go for this one day,� Elizabeth said.
�She didn�t,� Jason said.
�No she was fine except she invited Nikolas over without telling me,� Elizabeth said.
�Bad,� Jason said.
�You could say that he never actually called me a slut�until today,� Elizabeth said.
�What,� Jason said.
�Before he implied it, but today he said it,� Elizabeth said.
�When you�re hurting you say stupid thing do stupid things,� Jason said.
�You know I really hate Christmas,� Elizabeth said.
Jason dropped his head than gave her a smile as she moved over to the couch to seat down. She had only been gone for about an hour. He sat next to her about to say something when there was a knock at the door. Elizabeth got up to answer to reveal Carly with Michael.
It was hard for Jason to watch Carly let Michael unwrap his present without being able to touch him. But the look on his face as he saw the globe made up for all of it. Jason made sure Michael knew it was from him. Carly gave Jason a smile as she left. Elizabeth gave Carly and Michael a smile as they left. Carly was glad that Elizabeth let them do this. She was also glad Elizabeth stayed to the side while Michael had a small moment with his daddy.
�He loved it,� Elizabeth said.
�Yea he did�thanks,� Jason said smiling.
�I have something for you,� Elizabeth said.
�Good me too,� Jason said.
�When�d you go shopping�how�d you go shopping,� Elizabeth asked.
�Open now, ask later,� Jason said.
�You first,� Elizabeth said.
Jason took the box from her and sat down on the couch having no idea what she got him. He hadn�t mention to her about anything that he wanted. Emily and the Quartermaines got him a watch that he would never wear. He opened the box up to find she had got him a shirt.
�A shirt,� Jason said smiling.
�I didn�t know what to get you�you don�t like it,� Elizabeth said.
�No I like it,� Jason said.
�You�re not just saying that,� Elizabeth said.
�No it�s a nice shirt, I don�t have many button up ones,� Jason said.
�I know that�s why I picked that one�I thought black was a safe color,� Elizabeth said.
�The night I take you for our first ride since the shooting I�m going to wear this,� Jason said.
�You make it sound like a special occasion,� Elizabeth said.
�It will be we haven�t gone for a ride in a month�open,� Jason said.
Elizabeth gave him a big smile as she took the bag from. She wondered where in the world he got the money to go shopping. Or when he went shopping she didn�t think he had time or the strength to do it. She opened the bag and looked inside and pulled out his leather jacket. She looked up and smiled at him he was smiling at her.
�Your jacket,� Elizabeth said.
�You don�t like it,� Jason asked.
�No I love it�but won�t you get cold,� Elizabeth said.
�No I have another one,� Jason said.
�You better because I don�t want you to get sick,� Elizabeth said.
�I won�t but you have to wear that on our first ride,� Jason said.
�I will,� Elizabeth said.
Elizabeth stood up putting the bag down on the floor smiling at him as she slipped the jacket on. She motioned for him to try on the shirt. He pulled his t-shirt off slipped it on then started to button up the buttons. He wondered how she knew his size because it was a prefect fit.
�How do I look,� Jason said.
�Great...me,� Elizabeth said.
�You look ready for a ride...how did you know my size,� Jason said.
�When I was washing your clothes I looked at the tag of one of your shirt,� Elizabeth said.
�Sneaky aren�t you,� Jason said taking it off.
�We have three choices for dinner,� Elizabeth said.
�Three,� Jason said.
�Pizza from yesterday, soup, which we have lots of, or Bobbie invited us to dinner,� Elizabeth said.
�So pizza or dinner with Bobbie which means Carly and Michael,� Jason said.
�Bobbie said there was a chance AJ might go also,� Elizabeth said.
�So pizza it is,� Jason said smiling.
It was funny how comfortable they had become with one another. He used to hate to touch her she was grieving and he didn�t want to dishonor Lucky memory. But now it was something he did all the time, if it was touching her shoulder or hand to comfort her when she was started to get worried or angry. Sometime he would touch her face or tuck her hair behind her ears. It was the same with her, but the worse part of the whole things was Jason had fallen in love with her.
�So how would you rate this Christmas,� Elizabeth said.
�One of the best I can remember,� Jason said.
�Yea me too,� Elizabeth said.
�Did you have any good Christmas with your parents,� Jason said.
�They would always have these parties we had to go to,� Elizabeth said.
�And you didn�t like them,� Jason said.
�We had to look like the prefect family, always smiling always yes mama of course daddy,� Elizabeth said.
�What about when you moved here,� Jason asked smiling.
�Last year was nice with Lucky Emily and Nikolas but this year it�s different,� Elizabeth said.
�Bobbie said I�m almost completely healed it�s healed up nicely,� Jason said.
�That�s because you�ve let it,� Elizabeth said.
�It�s pretty late,� Jason said.
�Merry Christmas Jason,� Elizabeth said.
�Merry Christmas Elizabeth,� Jason said
Elizabeth stood up from the couch went over to Jason and kissed his cheek and went to get ready for bed. Jason cursed himself for doing this to himself. Why did he have to always fall for the wrong women, the ones that would hurt him? Robin betrayed him and got his son taken away, Carly slept with his best friend and Elizabeth was in love with another. Thought it wasn�t her fault she couldn�t help it. She didn�t even have any idea how he felt.
Sonny and Elizabeth had a routine they did and she waited for it. He�d take a few sips then come over to her asking how she was. Then ask how Jason was that if he needed anything to call him and leave. It was the same thing every time he came in when she worked. But he hadn�t done that since before the General Hospital Christmas she knew something was wrong when Johnny walked in.
�I need Jason,� Johnny said.
�I�m sorry I don�t know where he is,� Elizabeth said.
�Miss Webber,� Johnny said.
�I have work to do,� Elizabeth said.
�Can I speak to you alone for one minute,� Johnny said.
Before she could answer Johnny had pulled her outside and she began to get scared. She had this feeling that something was wrong. She knew that Johnny would not be looking for Jason just to look for him. When she looked in Johnny�s eyes she saw something there. Johnny knew telling her this was wrong but it was the only way to get Jason back, before Sonny lost his mind.
�The boss is losing it�he�s locked himself in The Pen House cancelled meeting,� Johnny said.
�Had he done this before,� Elizabeth asked.
�Yes�he has these episodes, where he�ll breakdown Jason always saved him,� Johnny said.
�I�ll call Jason if I tell you where he�s at he�ll never forgive me,� Elizabeth said.
�Please do fast�tell him he�s only smashed a few things,� Johnny said.
Johnny left knowing that was all he was going to get out of her. She ran inside to find Bobbie and explained the whole situation to her. Bobbie gave her the okay to leave then come back to finish her shift. Elizabeth knew that Jason hated Sonny right now but she knew he�d help.
�Jase,� Elizabeth said.
�What�s wrong�don�t you work today,� Jason said.
�It�s Sonny Johnny came by trying to find you,� Elizabeth said.
�I don�t care,� Jason said.
�He�s locked himself in the Pen House, canalled meeting, smashed a few things,� Elizabeth said.
�Johnny told you this,� Jason said scared.
�Yea they fear he�s going though a breakdown,� Elizabeth said.
�What does this have to do with me,� Jason said trying not care.
�Don�t you get it, it because of what he did�he hurt the one person he cared for most,� Elizabeth said.
�So you think I should help him,� Jason said.
�I don�t want you to do anything you don�t want to, but I know you still care for Sonny,� Elizabeth said.
�No Sonny is dead to me,� Jason said looking away.
�Jason this is me you�re talking to, so swallow that stupid pride and help your best friend,� Elizabeth said.
Jason looked at her he gave her a small smile grabbed his coat and walked out the door. Elizabeth walked out behind him locking the door and starting towards Kelly�s. Jason saw Johnny who gave him a smile knowing Sonny would be back to normal soon. Johnny unlocked the door as Jason looked at Pen House 2 his old home.
