�Carter,� Sam said.
�Sam you feeling better,� Janet asked.
�Uh yea,� Sam said as Jack�s eyes opened.
�Did Jack drop off your pin,� Janet said.
�Yes he did,� Sam said putting her hand over his mouth as he was about to speak.
�Good,� Janet said.
�I know it was your mother�s I just forgot to give it to you before you left,� Janet said.
�Jack dropped it off last night,� Sam said.
�So you are coming to my little get together tonight,� Janet asked.
�Wouldn�t miss it,� Sam said.
�I have to try Jack�s again I�ve been trying his house all morning,� Janet said.
�He told me he was doing the last of his shopping today,� Sam said.
�Do you think he�ll come,� Janet asked.
�Daniel wouldn�t let him miss it,� Sam said.
Jack started to make a face at the last of her conversation with Janet. At first he didn�t know who it was but once he started listening he could tell. They said their goodbyes and Sam got out of the close embrace they were in. She hung up the phone then started to get out of the bed but Jack pulled her back.
�Where do you think you�re going Captain,� Jack asked.
�I�m going to get dressed,� Sam said looking away.
�You don�t regret last night do you,� Jack said settling above her.
�No just�we broke regulations,� Sam said.
�I won�t tell if you won�t,� Jack said pressing himself against her.
�Hmmm,� Sam moaned closing her eyes.
�Besides breaking the rules isn�t always a bad thing,� Jack said kissing her neck.
�Yea but if we�re caught our careers are over,� Sam said.
�We�ll just be really careful act like Colonel-Captain at work,� Jack said.
�We�re not at work,� Sam said.
Jack smiled above her brushing her hair out of her eyes. She pulled him down by his dog tags feeling him smile some more against her lips. Jack kissed her soundly glad that for the first since Charlie was alive he over slept. The last months were hard for them with her father almost dying, the ancient thing, and the black hole. You can�t forget the body switching thing. It was very strange to see thing through Daniel Jackson�s eyes.
�Jack even if this didn�t happen I want to thank you for coming over,� Sam said touching is face.
�I should be thanking you,� Jack said.
�What,� Sam said.
�I heard you in the locker room,� Jack said.
�So that�s why you went to the SGC Christmas party,� Sam said.
�So what won�t Daniel let me miss,� Jack said.
�Janet�s Christmas Party tonight,� Sam said as he moved against her.
�Yea he told me he had a four hour lecture ready if I didn�t go,� Jack said.
�How is he�going to get you to um come,� Sam said as his hand moved down.
�Hammond said he�d make me attend Daniel even had a worksheet ready so I would have to pay attention,� Jack said.
By this time Sam eyes were close as Jack hands made it to her thigh. His lips went to her neck and she moaned as she wiggled under him. Jack gaped as she made contact with his erection. Sam brought him down for another kiss her mouth opening at contact once again.
�See you at Janet�s,� Sam said.
�At six,� Jack said smiling.
�Yes, bye,� Sam said as he kissed her one more time.
�Bye,� Jack mumbled against her lips.
�Hmmm No I have things to do can�t stay in bed all day,� Sam said.
�It�s 2 what four more hours,� Jack said.
�Yes but you have shopping to do unless you want to explain to Janet,� Sam said.
�Right Merry Christmas Eve Carter,� Jack said.
With the help of Daniel and Cassandra Janet made sure the house was in prefect order. It was just SG1 but she still wanted it too look nice. This was their Christmas dinner since they all left tonight for their families. Daniel was spending Christmas with her and her family since it was her year to host. Teal�c was going to The Land of the Light to spend it with his family. Sam and Jack had both sighed up to work as far as she knew.
�The place looks great,� Sam said looking around.
�Thanks Daniel and Cassie did most of it,� Janet said.
�Merry Christmas ladies,� Jack said smiling.
�Merry Christmas,� Sam said.
�I have one rule no title we all have names,� Janet said.
�Fine with me, Jack,� Sam said.
�Fine with me,� Jack said.
Teal�c and Cassandra began to watch TV to see all the Christmas Specials on. Jack and Sam were looking around making sure they missed the mistletoe. Daniel and Janet bumped into another right under it making Cassie start to giggle.
�Daniel its okay I understand,� Janet said smiling.
�Come on Danny, Jack said smiling.
�Yea Janet it�s a tradition,� Sam said.
�If this is tradition you must obey,� Teal�c said.
Janet was about to say he didn�t have to once again when she felt him grab her by the face. His lips went on to his for a gentle kiss. They broke part and both smiled Janet went into the kitchen and Daniel followed.
�Jack and Sam mistletoe,� Janet said.
�Oh yea,� Daniel said.
�They seem different tonight,� Janet said.
�I think it�s just not having anyone for Christmas,� Daniel said.
�Personal experiences,� Janet said.
�Yea,� Daniel said.
The night went on as Daniel and Janet tried to get Jack and Sam under the mistletoe. Finally it happened Sam was walking backwards out of the kitchen and Cassandra accidentally pushed Jack into her. Daniel and Janet smiled at each other and Cassandra.
�We can�t regulations,� Sam said.
�Its tradition and we won�t tell,� Daniel said.
�Right this is a no military household tonight,� Janet said.
�I believe since DanielJackson and DoctorFraiser you can,� Teal�c said.
Jack looked at Sam who gave him that smile that he loved so much. Jack was about to disagree when Sam grabbed his dog tags and pulled him in for a kiss. Jack would have to remember to wear them out while around her more often. Jack mouth opened to hers letting her tongue plunge into his mouth. Janet stood in surprise as did Daniel while Cassandra stood their smiling at them.
�Nothing like a little Christmas Cheer,� Jack said as they parted.
�Or a lot of it,� Daniel said smiling.
�Janet presents,� Sam said as if it didn�t affect her.
�Come on Daniel,� Janet said.
�I�ll go get mine for you guys there in my room,� Cassandra said.
�Jack help me clean up will you,� Sam asked.
�Is my assistance needed O�Neill,� Teal�c asked.
�No we got it,� Jack said.
Jack smiled at Sam who walked into the kitchen placing the glasses in the sink. He rinsed out the cans and bottles that he carried. As Sam put something back he moved closer to her but not to close. Sam smiled at him looking at Teal�c who was listening to an excited Cassandra.
�You know that kiss was a give away,� Jack said.
�You should have started it,� Sam said.
�So you work tomorrow,� Jack asked.
�Hammond wouldn�t let me,� Sam said.
�Same here�want to spend it with me,� Jack asked.
�Sure what time do you want me to come over,� Sam asked.
�Tonight,� Jack said smiling.
�Hey you two Janet and I will clean up when you all leave,� Daniel said smiling.
They took their seats and started to exchange presents. They had all did the secret Santa thing so they wouldn�t have to buy so many gifts. At nine o�clock an officer from base came to pick Teal�c up. Cassandra was already asleep on the couch so Daniel took her up stairs. Jack and Sam left a few minutes later saying their goodnights.
�So,� Jack asked.
�I�m going to pick up some clothing and stuff,� Sam said.
�Why don�t I follow you and give you ride to my place,� Jack said.
�Why so I can�t leave until you want me too,� Sam said.
�That�s my plan,� Jack said smiling.
Sam woke up the next morning to find Jack already up and on the phone with someone. When she walked out he put his hand on her mouth like she did the day before. She smiled kissed his palm and went into the bathroom. She walked out ten minutes later hair combed and teeth brush.
�Yea me too Mom�I�m not alone I spending it with a friend�yes her name is Sam,� Jack said.
Sam covered her mouth so that they wouldn�t hear her giggling. Jack O�Neill was getting interrogated by his mother who was in Chicago. She went into the bedroom grabbed his present that she bought, she couldn�t help herself. She took a seat on the couch.
�We�re just friends�Mom I�m sure�no Sara and I are over�Mom your right�love you too Merry Christmas,� Jack said.
Sam watched as he tried to hang up but she started to ask more questioned. He was soon telling her why Sam was coming over. That Sam was just a friend and stuff. He then said he would send a picture of her so she could see her. Then he didn�t say anything and they said their goodbyes. He hung up the phone walking towards her as she started to giggle.
�No giggling Carter,� Jack said leaning down for a kiss.
�Colonel Jack O�Neill interrogated by his mother,� Sam said.
�She worse than Goa�uld could ever be,� Jack said with a smile.
�Merry Christmas,� Sam said handing him a gift.
�Couldn�t help your self,� Jack said.
�You know us women we love to shop,� Sam said.
�Here,� Jack said handing her a small package.
�You first,� Sam said.
Jack gave her his childlike smile that seemed to always warm her heart. Jack opened the package and started to laugh as he looked at it. It was a welcome sigh that had fishing stuff and hockey stuff on it. He said he wished he could find a welcome sigh that was him. He bent forward kissing her gently then looked at it again.
�Thanks,� Jack said.
�I saw it and thought of you�it�s okay if you don�t put it up,� Sam said.
�No I�ll do right after you open yours,� Jack said.
Sam took the small package and stared at Jack for a moment then opened it up. She had no idea what it could be she knew he must have got it yesterday. It was a gold chain with a heart and angel that hung from it. The heart had something engraved on it. December 23rd was all it said she looked up at him to see him looking at her softly.
�Jack,� Sam said.
�Your baby had a soul Sam, I think he�s watching over you this way he can always be with you,� Jack said.
�When did you get so spiritual,� Sam said wiping away a few tears.
�Mom used to make me go to church until I moved out,� Jack said.
�Thank you so much,� Sam said kissed him.
Jack broke the kiss and went over to his door taking off the welcome sign he made when he was in high school. He replaced it with the one Sam gave him. It had his two favorite things in the world fishing and hockey this was truly him. He looked at Sam who was putting on her bracelet.
�So Sam would you like to ever meet my mother in the near future,� Jack asked.
�How much in the future,� Sam asked pulling him to her.
�Oh you know 5 or 6�days,� Jack said.
�What,� Sam said.
�She says it because she wants to see me and Daniel but,� Jack said.
�She wants to meet me,� Sam said.
�Yea,� Jack said.
�So we�ll act like friends,� Sam said.
�Easier said then done,� Jack said.
Sam stood in his kitchen helping him with the dinner they would be having. She thought about the fact that she would be meeting his mother in less than a week. It was no big deal she was meeting her as Jack�s friend. But she still felt anxious and very nervous about meeting this women.
