On behalf of the City of Atkins, welcome to the City's newly developed web site! Please be patient, as this site is still under construction!
Atkins is a rapidly growing community of a little more than one thousand people, located just west of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, north of US Highway 30 on State Highway 279. Atkins residents have easy access to the Cedar Rapids Metro area, Iowa City, Waterloo/Cedar Falls, and are about two hours from Des Moines, Ames, and the Quad Cities. New, exciting developments are always underway in Atkins. The Poker Flats development is beginning it's second phase soon. The Pheasant Ridge development is also beginning it's second addition. We are very excited for the conitue growth that we are experiencing. The third site is going on now by Ralston Construction. One of our biggest challenges will be for planning of a new business district. Please check back often to hear about these exciting details.
