All of our favorite City characters are back in this sample story that takes place 16 years in the future, Carla and Danny have a daughter named Katerina (remember
Carla was pregnant when The City ended), and now she is faced with a major crisis in her life.
LOCATION CITY BAR.
JOCELYN IS TALKING TO HER NIECE.
JOCELYN:are you alright?
KATERINA:sure! why would you ask?
JOCELYN:you just lately have looked sick.
KATERINA:must be the flu.
JOCELYN:are you sure?
KATERINA SUDDENLY FEELS SICK.
KATERINA:Aunt Joc MOVE!
KATERINA SHOVES PAST ZOEY & RICHARD.
ZOEY:hey whats wrong with Katerina?
RICHARD:must be her migraines.
KATERINA HURRY INTO THE BATHROOM & SLAMS THE DOOR.
IN THE BATHROOM SHE THROWS UP.
KATERINA THROWING UP.
KATERINA:acccckkkkkk!
KATERINA:I must have the flu. its gotta be.
A FEW MINUTES LATER.
KATERINA WASHES HER FACE ETC.
KATERINA:surely it can't be.
JOCELYN IS WAITING FOR KATERINA,WHEN KATERINA RETURNS.
JOCELYN:you allright?.
KATERINA NERVOUSLY.
KATERINA:ah like sure. Listen Aunt Joc I need to go & lay down K?
JOCELYN:sure. want me to check on you later?
KATERINA:ah sure. I guess. thanks for lunch.bye!
KATERINA HURRYS OUT OF THE BAR.
LOCATION DANNY & KATERINA'S LOFT.
KATERINA WALKS INTO THE LOFT.
DANNY IS LOOKING AT PICTURES FOR GENX.
DANNY:hey Kat. listen you & I need to talk.
KATERINA ROLLS HER EYES.
KATERINA:like Daaaaaad! I don't like feel well K? I have the flu.
DANNY:well just -ok Katerina. but we need to talk about why you got detention.
KATERINA:I SAID! I'll talk LATER!
KATERINA HURRYS INTO HER BEDROOM & SLAMS THE DOOR.
KATERINA TURNS SOME SOFT MUSIC ON & FALLS ASLEEP.
LOCATION PI OFFICE.
SANDY IS HANGING AROUND THE PI OFFICE WHEN JOCELYN WALKS IN.
JOCELYN:hi Sandy.
SANDY:like Hi. hey Joc. have you seen Katerina round? she was supposed to meet me downstairs to go to the coffee bar.
JOCELYN:oh Sandy. she told me to tell you that she's sick. she has the flu.
SANDY HURRY'S OUT OF THE LOFT.
SANDY:thanks JOC!
TONY & ALLY ARE TALKING IN THE STAIRWELL, WHEN THEY SEE SANDY.
SANDY:like outta my way!
ALLY:hey Sandy.like slow down K?
SANDY:not now. Katerina is sick.
LOCATION GENX OFFICE.
CARLA IS TALKING TO GINO, WHEN SANDY RUSHES IN,
CARLA IS ANNOYED.
CARLA:Sandy! do you mind?
SANDY:want me to go back out & knock on the door? then you come over open the door & -
GINO:No. listen my granddaughter is sick.
SANDY:I want to see how she is. may I go see her?
CARLA SIGHS.
CARLA:YES!
KATERINA'S BEDROOM.
KATERINA IS SLEEPING WHEN SANDY WALKS INTO HER BEDROOM. HE CLOSES THE DOOR GENTLY.
SANDY:hey Kat. angel. how are you?
KATERINA WAKES UP.
KATERINA:Ahhh Sandy. I -look just tell everyone I'm sick. I'll talk to them tommorrow.
SANDY WALKS OVER BY THE BED. HE SITS ON THE EDGE.
SANDY:hey you really do look sick.
KATERINA:gee THANKS!
SANDY LEANS AGAINST A PILLOW.
SANDY:like is their anything I can get for you? tea, soup?
KATERINA:no. I just feel sick all the time. and I'm tired alot.
SANDY:go see Ang. I mean how long have you felt like this?
KATERINA:2 maybe 3 weeks.
SANDY:ok, were going to see Angie. now.
KATERINA:NO. I'm tired.
SANDY:come on. I'll even come with you.
SANDY HELPS KATERINA UP.
KATERINA:wait!
KATERINA WALKS OVER TO HER DESK.
SHE LOOKS AT A CALENDAR.
KATERINA:Oh my word! No. please dear God No. I can't be!
SANDY:WHAT!? angel your scaring me.
KATERINA WALKS OVER TO A MIRROR.
KATERINA:I'm pregnant!
SILENCE.
SANDY:your what!?
GINO & CALRA RUSH INTO THE ROOM.
GINO:What the hell is going on?
KATERINA RUSHES PAST HER MOM.
CALRA FOLLOWS HER DAUGHTER.
CALRA:Katerina Dannielle. what is going on?
KATERINA TURNS AROUND. SHE IS IN TEARS.
KATERINA:I'm pregnant Momma!
AS SHE SAYS THAT CARLA IS STUNNED!
CARLA:your WHAT!?
KATERINA:I let you & Daddy Down. I'm pregnant.
KATERINA RUSHES OUT OF THE LOFT, FOLLOWED BY CARLA.
GINO:Carla calm down.
CARLA GLARES AT HER FATHER.
CARLA:My Daughter is 16 and Pregnant! don't tell me to calm down.
LOCATION GENX.
JOCELYN & ALLY ARE TALKING WHEN KATERINA RUSHES IN.
KATERINA:Aunt Jocelyn you like gotta help me. I'm in trouble.
JOCELYN, ALLY & TONY LOOK AT KATERINA.
ALLY:Katerina what kind of trouble?
KATERINA:I want to talk to my Aunt JOC.
ALLY:ok.
TONY & ALLY SAY GOODBYE.
TONY:call us if you want to talk.
KATERINA:thanks.
JOCELYN WALKS OVER TO HER NIECE WITH A GLASS OF WATER.
JOCELYN:ok Katerina its going to be allright. did you have a fight with Sandy?
KATERINA:No. not really.
JOCELYN:then what happend?
KATERINA:I'm pregnant Aunt Joc. I slept with Sandy on my birthday. I told him if he really loved me he would sleep with me. Aunt Joc, Sandy told me he would be careful. he promised me.
JOCELYN IS SHOCKED.
JOCELYN:Katerina are you sure your pregnant? did you see Angie?
KATERINA:not yet. but remember earlier when I was sick?
JOCELYN:yes, you thought it was the flu. but it was really morning sickness.
KATERINA:right. oh Aunt Joc what am I going to do?
CARLA:first of all your going to get a pregnancy test from Angie. then were going to sit down & talk about all of this.
KATERINA:I'm keeping my baby. no matter what you or daddy say.
DANNY WALKS INTO THE LOFT, UNAWARE OF WHAT IS GOING ON.
DANNY:hey, why is everyone so quiet?
CARLA LOOKS AT HER DAUGHTER.
CARLA:do you want to tell him, or should I?
DANNY:what is going on?. wait, does this have anything to do with Katerina getting detention?
CARLA:far from it.
JOCELYN:I'm going to talk to Alex.
KATERINA GETS UPSET.
KATERINA:Don't tell HIM!
JOCELYN:I won't. I promise.
DANNY WALKS OVER TO CARLA & KATERINA.
DANNY:would either one of you mind telling me what is going on?
KATERINA:Daddy I'm pregnant. I let you & Momma down. I slept with Sandy, on my 16th birthday. I told him if he really loved me he would sleep with me.
DANNY:your pregnant?
KATERINA:not for sure, but I'm late this month, and.
DANNY:were going to see Angie.
KATERINA:I'M going to see ANGIE!
KATERINA RUSHES OUT OF THE ROOM.
LOCATION PI OFFICE.
ALEX WALKS INTO THE OFFICE. HE SEES SANDY STARING OUT THE WINDOW.
ALEX:Sandy hey I thought you were with Katerina.
SANDY:No. I'm gonna like talk to her later.
ALEX:did you two have a fight?
SANDY:no. listen dad I just need to be alone.
SANDY WALKS OUT OF THE PI OFFICE. AS HE IS GETTING ON THE ELEVATOR, HE SEE'S KATERINA, COMING OUT OF THE CLINIC.
CARLA & DANNY ARE TALKING TO HER.
CARLA:Katerina we needed to talk to Angie. your a minor.
KATERINA:So. look I'm just tierd ok? can't we talk later?
DANNY:No Katerina. we need to talk about your options.
KATERINA:I'M KEEPING my baby! end of discussion.
KATERINA STORMS PAST HER PARENTS.
SANDY IS IN A CORNER OF THE STAIRWELL. HE MUTTERS.
SANDY:oh Man! she really is pregnant. damn Masters! you should have been careful.
SANDY LEANS AGAINST THE WALL.
LOCATION CITY BAR LATER THAT DAY.
JOCELYN SEE'S DANNY SITTING IN A CORNER. SHE WALKS OVER TO HIM.
JOCELYN:hey mind if I sit down?
DANNY:no.
JOCELYN:I gather the way you look, Katerina is pregnant.
DANNY:16 and 2 months pregnant.
JOCELYN:oh Danny, I'm so sorry. what does Katerina want to do?
DANNY:she wants to keep the baby.
JOCELYN:what do you want her to do?
DANNY SIGHS,
DANNY:Jocelyn I really don't know. maybe even though I don't want to think this, maybe terminating the pregnancy would be best.
JOCELYN :Danny! I- what does Carla want?
KATERINA:who CARES! what my parents think. how DARE! you even think about considering terminating my pregnancy.
DANNY:ok ok Katerina, just take a deep breath.
KATERINA:you don't even care about your own grandchild!
KATERINA RUSHES OUT OF THE ROOM.
DANNY:I better go after her.
JOCELYN:Danny let me. she's more likely to talk to me than to you.
DANNY:ok. Joc, just tell her that I'm sorry.
JOCELYN:Danny, are you really sorry?. or are you just wanting your daughter back?
LOCATION KATERINA'S BEDROOM.
KATERINA IS HOLDING A TEDDY BEAR & CRYING WHEN JOCELYN KNOCKS ON THE DOOR.
KATERINA:Go AWAY!
JOCELYN:its your Aunt Joc, mind if I come in?
KATERINA:doors open.
JOCELYN WALKS INTO THE ROOM, SOFT MUSIC IS PLAYING.
JOCELYN:your room is still the same. clothes strung all over the place.
KATERINA:thats not why you're here.
JOCELYN:no, it's not. listen Katerina, I'm not on anyone's side. I'm neutral. but I do want you to know you can talk to me.
KATERINA:why?. I mean are you in favor of me terminating my pregnancy? Killing! my child!?
JOCELYN:Katerina, no I'm not. but its any woman's right to choose. I mean your going to be a Mom for the rest of your life.
KATERINA:Don't you think I KNOW THAT!? all I want is for my baby to be born.
JOCELYN:are you prepared to wake up at night, all night, if you have to.
KATEIRNA:yes, I stay up half the night anyway. Aunt Joc I've read books and I know that I will have to wake up a night. I WANT this baby.
JOCELYN:you know that we all love you.
KATERINA:of course I know that! and I know that I will love my child.
JOCELYN:when is your next doctors' appt.?
KATERINA:tommorrow. I'm going to see if I'm having a boy or girl.
JOCELYN:do you want me to come with you?
KATERINA:if you want. I know I don't want my parents with me.
JOCELYN:if thats what you want, then fine. have you eaten any?
KATERINA:who can eat with my parents around?
JOCELYN:can you try?. if not for your sake, for your childs.
KATERINA:I guess.
JOCELYN:also I think it would be best if Sandy talks to you.
KATERINA:WHY!? all he'll say is that he heard I'm pregnant with his child. like he's gonna help me.
JOCELYN:Alex is going to talk to Sandy. and Sandy will be their for you.
KATERINA:I'm 2 months pregnant & feel so alone. noone wants this baby except me.
JOCELYN:your parents will love thier grandchild. I promise. right now they're just upset.
KATERINA:its like thier little girl is growing up, and they CAN'T! face it. well they better.
JOCELYN:can I get you anything to eat?
KATERINA:some milk and some fruit.
LOCATION GENX.
DANNY IS STARING AT SOME PHOTO'S FOR GENX WHEN CARLA WALKS INTO THE LOFT.
CARLA:Danny! are you here?
DANNY:yes Carla.
CARLA RUSHES INTO THE OFFICE.
CARLA:well? did you talk to our daughter?
DANNY:yes I at least tried to.
CARLA:what do you mean you tried to?
DANNY:I told Jocelyn that I thought terrminatting the pregnancy might be an option, Katerina overheard & yelled at me & told me that she will keep her child.
CARLA:Katerina wants to keep this baby. there is no way she will get an abortion nor give her child up for adoption. I don't know what to do.
DANNY:have you talked to Sandy?. or any of her friends?
CARLA:no, they do call alot, but Katerina picks up the phone before I can even say anything. she's already buying baby clothes.
DANNY:when is her next appt?
CARLA:tommorrow.
DANNY:we're going with her.
LOCATION LOFT LATER THAT DAY.
KATERINA IS SHOWING NIKKI SOME OF THE BABY CLOTHES.
NIKKI:ohh how cute! I really like this Parisian outfit.
KATERINA:thanks.
NIKKI:I can't believe you & Sandy are going to be parents. is Sandy going to help you?
KATERINA:I hope so.
NIKKI'S 2 YR OLD DAUGHTER STARTS TO CRY.
AMBER:Mommy! mommy! I want you to hold me!!!!!!
NIKKI PICKS AMBER UP.
NIKKI:Katerina your going to be a good Mom. but it's alot of hard work. Amber still wakes up 5 minutes after I put her down for her nap and I have to wake her up early to take her to daycare.
KATERINA:does Ryder ever come around?
NIKKI:on occasion.
KATERINA WALKS OVER TO HER MIRROR.
KATERINA:3 months pregnant & I'm allready begging to show, nothing fits anymore!
CARLA:we'll have to go buy you some clothes, then mind if I come in a sec?
KATERINA:I guess.
NIKKI:I have to go now. bye.
CARLA:bye.
KATERINA:call me later.
A FEW MINUTES LATER, CARLA SITS BY HER DAUGHTER.
CARLA:were going to help you. I promise you.
KATERINA:really? I WANT to keep my baby. and I WANT Sandy to help me.
CARLA:I know you do. listen the school conselor called. she said that there is a teen Mom program at school. its in one of the rooms, they teach you & that way you don't have to drop out.
KATERINA:Sandy has ignored me. at school he just looks at me, and instead of meeting me at my locker like he normally does. he just walks away. this is his baby also! I wish I had never slept with Sandy.
CARLA HUGS HER DAUGHTER.
LOCATION SoHo HIGH.
AMY:so your really going to keep the baby?
KATERINA:positive. I just feel tired alot, back hurts and I have cravings at night.
SANDY WALKS BY.
SANDY:hey Kat.
KATERINA:I have to go now. Amy I'll talk to you later.
KATERINA SHOVES PAST SANDY.
SANDY IS ABOUT TO GO AFTER HER, WHEN HE HEARS A SCREAM.
RYDER:Sandy! its Katerina! she's fallen down the stairs.
SANDY RACES OVER TO KATERINA,
SANDY:everyone get back!
THE PRINCIPAL & A FEW TEACHERS RUSH OVER.
STACY:is she going to be alright?
SANDY:Someone call her parents!
LOCATION CITY BAR.
TESS & BUCK ARE TALKING WHEN THE PHONE RINGS.
BUCK:City Bar. yeah oh my Word! is she alright?
TESS:whats wrong?
BUCK:go tell Danny to get on the phone.
TESS RUSHES OVER TO CARLA & DANNY.
TESS:the school called. somethings wrong with Katerina.
DANNY RUSHES OVER & GRABS THE PHONE.
CARLA:Danny! whats wrong?!
DANNY HANGS UP THE PHONE & HURRY'S OUT OF THE BAR.
CARLA:Danny! what is going on?
DANNY:Katerina fell down a flight of stairs. she's alright. she's at the Nurses office. Sandy's hopefully with her.
LOCATION SoHo HIGH.
DANNY BARGES INTO THE OFFICE.
DANNY:wheres my Daughter?
THE PRINCIPAL WALKS OVER TO CARLA & DANNY.
PRINCIPAL FIELDS:Danny Carla, she's alright.
DANNY:what happened?
PRINICPAL FIELDS:all we know is that she was accidently pushed.
CARLA:ACCIDENTLY!? how is the baby?
THE NURSE WALKS OUT.
NURSE REYNOLDS:you can see her now. she just has a little brusing around her stomach. but she is alright.
DANNY:well just to be on the safe side, were getting another opinion.
KATERINA SEE'S HER PARENTS.
KATERINA:I'm so scared!
DANNY WALKS OVER & HUGS HIS DAUGHTER.
DANNY:its going to be alright. lets get you home.
CARLA NOTICES SANDY STANDING IN A CORNER.
CARLA:Sandy, thanks for staying with her.
SANDY:hey the child she's carrying is also mine. listen let me come with you to the clinic.
LOCATION ANGIE'S CLINIC.
KATERINA IS LYING DOWN ON A TABLE.
ANGIE:you want to see how everything is?
KATERINA:yes.
ANGIE TURNS THE MONITOR SO THAT KATERINA CAN SEE WHAT IS GOING ON.
KATERINA :the baby so little!, a little baby is in side of me! how cute!
ANGIE:want to know the gender?
KATERINA:sure. what if its a boy?
I just love boys.
CARLA & DANNY JUST LOOK AT HER.
ANGIE;you're having 2 healthy twins. girls.
CARLA:tw twins!?
KATERINA;oh how cute! little girls are they allright?
ANGIE:so far so good. but Katerina because of your small size, I want to monitor you extra carefully.
KATERINA:I am getting lots of rest, eating right.
ANGIE:look I'm not going to lie. this pregnancy is going to be hard.
DANNY:but Katerina can deliver right?
ANGIE:yes. but I recommend a C- section.
KATERINA SITS UP.
KATERINA:No!, I already have streach marks starting. I'll have a huge scar.
ANGIE:let me talk to Katerina alone ok?
DANNY:ok.
CARLA:are you sure your going to be alright?
KATERINA ROLLS HER EYES.
KATERINA:I'm positive.
LOCATION ALEX & JOC'S LOFT.
ALEX IS TALKING TO SANDY.
ALEX:Sandy you will help Katerina. just because Ryder does not help Nikki, does not mean you can.
SANDY:but I'm not getting up at night. 2 a.m. changes & crying babies. like I will come over & help Katerina. I promise. Mom's already buying a swing and a car seat.
KATERINA WALKS INTO THE LOFT.
KATERINA:ohhhh how cute!
SANDY:hey Katerina. are you alright?
KATERINA:sure. can we go somewhere & talk?
SANDY:sure.
ALEX:Sandy remember our talk.
SANDY:yeah yeah whatever.
LOCATION SANDY & KATERINA'S BASEMENT LOFT.
SANDYPLACES HIS HAND GENTLY ON KATERINA'S STOMACH.
SANDY:are you sure your alright?
KATERINA:positive. I'm having girls.
SANDY IS SHOCKED.
SANDY:you mean were having twins!? cool. well guess well have ta get two of everything.
KATERINA:Sandy please stay with me. I'm scared.
SANDY:hey hey angel baby. I'm here.
KATERINA:I'm 5 months pregnant, and I just -
SANDY:just what?
KATERINA:I sometimes can feel our daughters kicking. like right now. I wonder
what they're thinking.
SANDY:could I feel?
KATERINA:sure.
SANDY GENTLY PLACES HIS HAND ON HER STOMACH.
SANDY FEELS TWO HARD KICKS.
SANDY:whoa! like these are going to be some kickers. maybe even karate players.
KATERINA:can I just stay here tonight?
SANDY:well I guess. some of the group was coming over.
KATERINA:I can still be a part of the group. I mean Nikki bought me two teddy bears, oh Sandy I can't wait for Hannah & Susie to be born.
SANDY:yeah me to.
A FEW MONTHS LATER.
KATERINA IS 7 MONTHS PREGNANT.
SHE IS IN HER ROOM READING WHEN SHE HEARS DANNY TALKING TO BUCK.
DANNY:she wants the room to be in pink & White.
CARLA:and I brought her favorite rocker here from Manhattan. I think we should put it by the cribs.
KATERINA WALKS INTO THE NURSERY.
KATERINA:put the rocker by the window. that way I can look out when I'm rocking the twins.
SANDY KNOCKS ON THE DOOR.
KATERINA:coming! its some friends from school.
DANNY:tell them NOT to smoke!
KATERINA:I promise.
KATERINA RACES OVER & OPENS THE DOOR. SHE SEE'S SANDY. HE IS LEANING AGAINST THE WALL.
SANDY:mind if we go for a walk?
KATERINA:I guess. Sandy I haven't seen you for 3 days! where were you?
SANDY:busy. doing something. just trust me.
KATERINA ROLLS HER EYES.
KATERINA:last time you said that, it was 7 months ago.
SANDY:look angel. just trust me. I have something for our daughters.
KATERINA GRABS HER COAT.
KATERINA:Mom Dad! bye!
CARLA RUSHES OUT TO THE LOFT.
CARLA:Katerina where are you going?
KATERINA:to Sandy's loft.
KATERINA SLAMS THE DOOR.
LOCATION SANDY'S LOFT.
KATERINA:Sandy what is going on? I'm tired, and I'm not feeling well. I'm 8 and a half months pregnant. and look at me. I'm huge!
KATERINA SITS DOWN, SLOWLY ON THE COUCH.
SANDY:I went out and sorta bought somethings. I know you have two cribs, and a rocker, everything really. except this.
SANDY DRAGS A HUGE TEDDY BEAR OUT OF THE CLOSET.
HE HAS PUT TWO PINK RIBBIONS AROUND THE BEARS NECK.
SANDY:you wanted as many teddy bears as possible.
KATERINA:oh its perfect! maybe when the twins are 5 months old we can lean them against the bear. Sandy I can't wait for our daughters to be born.
SANDY:yeah.
KATERINA:whats wrong? you seem like your bored.
SANDY:its your old man. he keeps reminding me that I am to help you. not just give you money. he actually told me he could frezze my drums and pool sticks and everything if I don't help you.
KATERINA:he'll get over it. once the twins are born it can just be you & me. AND the twins.
SANDY:we'll were not getting married K? I mean I'll support you, and come by & help.
KATERINA:promise? Sandy the twins also need a father. your going to be a good father.
SANDY:well I guarantee, that I will always be there for our daughters. better than my old man. I mean I will raise our kids better.
LOCATION HOSPITAL.
ALLY, TONY, ALEX, & JOCELYN ARE PACING THE FLOOR.
JOCELYN:HAS ANYONE seen Sandy!? did anyone call him!?
ALEX:I called. Sandy should have been here an hour ago.
JOCELYN:I just pray everything goes well for Katerina.
ALLY:I called everyone else, there on thier way.
LOCATION DELIVERY ROOM.
KATERINA HAS AN IV IN HER ARM. SHE IS HOLDING HER PARENTS HANDS.
CARLA:are you in any pain?
KATERINA:a little.
DANNY:just keep breathing. your doing good.
DR QUARTERMAINE WALKS INTO THE ROOM.
MONICA:hey Katerina. are you ready for your twins to be born?
KATERINA:I wasready 3 months ago! I just want this pain to go away!
CARLA:Dr Quartermaine, can you give Katerina any more pain medicine.
MONICA:the medicine we gave her a few minutes ago should start working.
JOCELYN WALKS INTO THE ROOM.
KATERINA:Aunt Jocelyn! thanks for helping me.
JOCELYN:anytime.
MONICA:ok were ready.
KATERINA:I CAAAAAANT!
DANNY:yes this will be over before you know it.
KATERINA GLARES AT HER DAD.
KATERINA:SHUUUUUUUUT UUUUUUP!
MONICA:ok start pushing.
KATERINA STARTS TO PUSH.
KATERINA:wheres Sandy!!!!!!!!?
JOCELYN:he's in the waiting room.
MONICA:ok Katerina, take a breather.
KATERINA STOPS, FOR A FEW MINUTES.
ANGIE:hows the Mom?
KATERINA:tired. and in pain!
MONICA:ok Katerina. 1 more push.
KATERINA:another one?
KATERINA PUSHES HARD, AND SCREAMS BLOODY MURDER.
MONICA:you have a daughter.
KATERINA:is she healthy!? let me hold her.

A FEW MINUTES LATER. KATERINA WALKS SLOWLY INTO THE NURSERY.
KATERINA:hey is there a teen Dad in here?
SANDY SEE'S KATERINA.

ANGIE WALKS OVER & TAKES HANNAH FROM SANDY'S ARMS.
ANGIE:were going to let Katerina hold both Hannah & Susie.
KATERINA SITS DOWN IN THE ROCKER.

SANDY:now Susie, were going to let you cry for awhile. but at night, you need to suck on your pacifier or bottle.
KATERINA:Sandy, get used to this. the twins can both be screaming.
ANGIE:Ok Katerina. its time to go back to your room.

LOCATION KATERINA'S HOSPITAL ROOM A FEW DAYS LATER.
KATERINA:I wish Sandy was here.
DANNY:don't worry he will.
CARLA:I have Vito packing everything into the limo.
VITO WALKS IN.
VITO: Carla all the flowers & everything is in the limo.
KATEIRNA:Vito, did you get the flowers put near the Nursery? I can't take all these flowers home.
VITO:sure did. oh and there's a gang of teens outside.
DANNY ROLLS HIS EYES.

NURSE MCPHERSON WALKS INTO THE ROOM WITH A WHEELCHAIR.
KATERINA:do I have to ride in one of those?
NURSE:I'm afraid so.
SANDY WALKS INTO THE ROOM.
SANDY:hey Kat. what do you want me to carry?
DANNY:heres an idea. how about holding one of your daughters?
SANDY WALKS OVER TO HANNAH. SANDY GENTLY PICKS HANNAH UP.
SANDY;hey Hannah. ready to go home?
KATERINA:Sandy here's her bottle.
SANDY:ok. whatever.
CARLA & DANNY GLARE AT SANDY.
VITO WALKS OVER TO SANDY.
VITO:you better shape up. I still work for the MOB. so just help Katerina. got that?
SANDY:hey dude. everythings cool.
VITO JUST GLARES AT SANDY.

KATERINA:Sandy why don't you help me ok?
SANDY:I am. can we lay Susannah down on the couch? the superbowl is starting.
CARLA ROLLS HER EYES.
CARLA:Sandy. the twins are a week old. you need to lay them in their cribs. NOT on the couch.
KATERINA IS HOLDING HANNAH.
KATERINA:Sandy you promised me you would help. if you really mean it. then carry Susie into the Nursery.

JOCELYN & ALEX WALK INTO THE LOFT.

DANNY:Sandy is sorta drifting away allready. his daughters are not even 2 weeks old. and he is talking about leaving.
ALEX:Danny that will not happen.

KATERINA GENTLY PUTS EACH TWIN IN THE CRIB.
SUSANNAH STARTS TO SCREAM.
SANDY WALKS OVER TO SUSIE.
SANDY:hey Susannah, shhhh go to sleep.
KATERINA:try picking her up. she won't break.
SANDY:wheres her bottle?
KATERINA SIGHS. SHE WALKS OVER & GENTLY PICKS SUSIE UP. SHE LAYS SUSANNAH ON HER SHOULDER.

SANDY:right here. listen you act like you know what your doing. mind if I just sorta come back tonight?
ALEX:Sandy can I talk to you? NOW.
SANDY MUTTERS & LEAVES.
KATERINA:just don't forget your daughters.

LATER THAT NIGHT.
CARLA KNOCKS ON THE NURSERY DOOR.
CARLA:mind if I come in?
KATERINA:no.
CARLA:Angie said for you to get rest. you've been in here ever since you got home.
KATERINA:I'm scared I don't want to leave the twins.
CARLA:its understandable that you would be scared. you have the baby monitors.
KATERINA:yeah Vito bought 1 for each room practically.
CARLA:go to sleep. I will watch the twins.
KATERINA:I don;t want you taking over. I will raise Hannah & Susannah and hopefully Sandy will help me.
CARLA:he will. otherwise we'll frezze his radio' pool sticks everything.
KATERINA WALKS OVER TO THE TWINS. SHE GENTLY KISS'S THEM GOODNIGHT.
A MONTH LATER.
KATERINA IS SLEEPING WHEN SHE HEARS HANNAH SCREAMING.
KATERINA:I just put them down.
SHE LOOKS AT THE CLOCK.IT IS 2 a.m.
KATERINA THROWS BACK THE COVERS & GRABS HER ROBE.
LOCATION NURSERY.
KATERINA WALKS OVER TO THE CRIB, SHE PICKS HANNAH UP.
KATERINA:shhhh Hannah. you need to sleep. I know its hard.
KATERINA SITS IN THE ROCKER.
KATERINA:call Sandy.
HANNAH LOOKS AT HER MOM.
KATERINA:Sandy is your Dad. he told me he would help raise you two.
KATERINA CARRY'S HANNAH OUT TO THE LOFT.
SHE LAYS HANNAH IN THE CARRIER, AND FEEDS HANNAH.
KATERINA CALLS SANDY.
A FEW MINUTES LATER.
SANDY:yeah what!?
KATERINA:Sandy, I wanted to know if you can come over. I need to get to sleep. I was up until 12a.m. with Hannah. Susie is asleep, can you come over?
SANDY:NOW? it's 2 in the morning.
KATERINA:I KNOW. Sandy you have not been around alot. I had to lie to my parents so that you would not get into trouble. I told them you were coming by everyday.
CARLA OVER HEARS.
KATERINA:Sandy can you hold on a sec?
SANDY:yeah.
KATERINA PUTS HANNAH'S PACIFIER IN HANNAH'S MOUTH.
SANDY:what did you do to get Hannah to quit crying?
KATEIRNA:so you noticed her crying?
SANDY:noticed!?. I can hear her screaming. ok ok damn. I'll be down in a few.
KATERINA:you sound as though its a death sentence.
CARLA HANGS UP THE PHONE QUIETLY.
A FEW MINUTES LATER.
KATERINA IS ROCKING THE CARRIER GENTLY.WHEN CARLA WALKS IN.
CARLA:I thought I heard you.
KATERINA:I called Sandy. I told him to come over. I mean -
CARLA:it seems that Susie has slept through the night. its Hannah who is a night owl. just like her Mom. mind if I sit by you until Sandy gets here?
KATERINA:sure. its like as long as I keep rocking her, she goes to sleep.
CARLA:you were like that. always wanting to be held, you would finally go to sleep at 4 in the morning.
KATERINA:Nikki told me that Amber still wake up crying at night. and Ambers 2yrs old.
CARLA:it does get better. AND your doing a terrific job.
SANDY KNOCKS ON THE DOOR.
KATERINA:can you watch Hannah?
CARLA:sure.
KATERINA BOUNCES OVER TO THE DOOR. SHE OPENS THE DOOR TO SEE SANDY, WHO IS DRESSED IN ONLY JEANS, NO SHIRT.
SANDY:told you I'd be here. so whats wrong?
KATERINA:Hannah needs to be rocked. she will only fall asleep either if someone holds her, or she's rocked.
SANDY WALKS OVER TO THE CARRIER. HANNAH IS SOUND ASLEEP WITH HER PACIFIER.
SANDY:she's asleep.
KATERINA:THATS, because the carrier is rocking. Aunt Jocelyn got one that you can wind up.
SANDY:hows Susie?
KATERINA:she's fine. Sandy I am half sick. can you watch Hannah?
SANDY SIGHS.
SANDY:sure.
LOCATION LOFT. THE NEXT DAY.
JOCELYN & ALEX WALK INTO THE LOFT, THEY SEE CARLA HOLDING HANNAH.
CARLA:your Son was less than thrilled to have been told to come over last night.
ALEX:so where is he now?
CARLA:over there.
ALEX & JOCELYN SEE SANDY ASLEEP ON THE COUCH.
KATERINA WALKS OUT HOLDING SUSIE.
JOCELYN:did you get any sleep last night?
KATEINA:only 4 hrs.
ALEX:Katerina were going to frezze Sandy's drums, pool sticks, everything. until he can help you.
KATERINA:thanks.
JOCELYN:I don't have any court cases today. can I babysit?
KATERINA:you can help.
LOCATION CITY BAR.
KATERINA BRINGS THE TWINS INTO THE BAR.
BOTH ARE AWAKE.
TESS:I was wondering when the twins would wake up, they're growing up so fast.
KATERINA:tommorrow they're going to be 3 months old.
TESS:dare I ask about Sandy?
