Installment #5

At Corinth arrives Dynah Lee Mayberry, a blonde very attractive woman, and it's immediately love at first sight with Curtis, coming to a hasty marriage. But both Curtis and Tess Wilder are influenced by the presence in Corinth of a sinister and diabolic man, Dante, who takes prisoner Tess and put Curtis into a cage, treating him as an animal. During the disappearance of Curtis, Dynah Lee makes friends with Trucker in a intense way, and after a few times this friendship changes into a passionate sentimental flirt. Stacey has become a good novelist, with good earnings. She meets Buck, and between them a spark of love becomes inflamed. But Buck, because of his dangerous situation with the shark, endangers JJ's life, and Stacey drives out of her life Buck. Alex and Ava have two sons, Sandy and Alexis, and their marriage is very happy, but in order to make it safer Alex decides to leave his FBI life accepting to join the Police of Corinth. Love stories flow also in university setting, where Ally is in love with Casey, who is courted by Stephanie, but all is complicated when the rich snob Cooper Alden gets Ally pregnant. Cooper and Ally have a son, Tyler, but their relationship collapses quickly, not being based upon love. Ally finds consolation in Casey, who often quarrels with Cooper, who is worried about where Tyler would live if Casey marries Ally, that is a place of ill fame. There's the release of Curtis and Tess, that escape from the clutches of Dante, who pretend to fall in coma and, helped by a doctor, feigns to die in order to escape freely. But his ghost is still in air, above all around Curtis, who isn't the man he was. Infact he has hallucinative visions, sinister thoughts and mainly he hasn't any more Dynah Lee's love, by now directed to Trucker. But Trucker and Dynah Lee decide to slacken their own relationship as a sign of respect toward a man, Curtis, just come out of a terrible experience. And the situation is more complicated when Curtis rescues Trucker, who is seriously wounded in a wood in Maine. Consequently, Dynah Lee decides to stay together with Curtis furtherly, and Trucker agrees fully with it. Other main characters in Corinth are coloured people: thelady doctor Angie Hubbard and her son Frankie, and then Charles Harrison, a FBI agent transferred, as Alex, to the Police of Corinth. The common point between Angie and Charles is that both they are left in widowhood: Angie's dead husband was Jessie, a policeman killed in action; Charles's dead wife was killed by a drugseller. This common past make them more intimate, but there's opposition of Frankie to complicate their relationship. And now I pass to detail even more the plots. Doctor Hubbard is wounded accidentally by a syringe in the hospital where she works, and she is afraid of possible consequences, such as AIDS, but lucky all is right. But, by medical tests, she finds out a bad virus which risks to kill her. The only possibility to save Angie is by a compatible medulla giver, and the research proves very difficult. Then, Angie goes to New York for a lecture. When she is at the exit of the airport, she faints. A criminal guy, passing there, robs her. But Angie awakens, and so the guy is compelled to abduct her, and carries her to a place of ill fame, where this guy is living together with a coloured girl, Jenny.
