Well, we start from Father Jim Votchek, who lost his own memory for an accident, coming back so to the periods when he was in love with Shana, in Rome. And so he decided to take again his relationship with Shana, and this caused the general shock of the Church. Not long after, Jim regained the memory, but didn't change his mind about the love affair with Shana, given that he interpretated the previous loss of memory as a Divine Sign, and thus he decided to break definitively his vows to the Church. But this love story lasted for a very short time, cos' Jim died in a air accident. And surprise of the surprises, here was the return of Clay Alden, whom everyone thought dead. Clay is now different phisically, mainly his appearance and his face, because of a plastic surgery. Clay told about his FBI missions, his imprisonment years, and now the possibility of coming back home. Cabot, remembering the past hateful behaviours of his son, welcomes coldly Clay, but after a few moments he realizes that Clay is really changed also about his character, is warmer and more cordial than once he was. Clay is now intentioned to change his own life, starting from Gwyneth, to whom he gets divorce, willing to marry Ava, given the perfect armony between them. Clay marries quickly Ava, who starts working together with the same Clay in Alden Firm at the top of the Firm spheres. Harry Sawolsky courts Anne Forbes, and above all tries to improve his own bad rumours in Corinth, especially towards Kate and Ava. Harry a few times after will die, and Anne disappears from the scenes, I don't know exactly what happened about them. Coming back to that moment, Jack Forbes marries Stacey, and they have a son, JJ, who inflames furtherly Stacey, but not Jack, who has a unexpected outbreak of his old passion, Lily Slater, come back home with the aim of reconquering Jack. The marriage is suddenly unsteady, but finally Stacey forgives Jack betrayals, and Lily disappears. Jack and Stacey have afterwards another baby, Heather, a female, and then Jack dies in the same way of his father, in a air accident. And here, another great surprise: the real Clay Alden comes back home, and takes back his position in Alden family. The other Clay is so a false one. The real name of this intruder, anyway sent by Clay himself, is Alex Masters. The shock in family is really great, the real Clay is like the old hateful and snob one, not as Clay-Alex, who was a sort of gentleman. Infact the great respect and affection felt by Alden family towards Alex convinces the same Alex to stay living in Corinth. Gwyneth is again Clay's wife, and Ava is nobody's wife, being married simply to a name. But Alex courts more amd more Ava, andthey marry again, this time as Masters husband and wife. Meanwhile Trisha was courted by a sinister rich Casino owner, Nick Dinatos, who tried to divide the woman and Steven, but also in this case the great love triumphs. If I remember well, during those episodes Cabot died, searching for a way to set free his niece from Nick Dinatos. But a great shock came, when Steven, just married with Trisha, was killed by Cecilia, a woman who was in love, not reciprocated, with the same Steven.
