A Jungle Clearing...
You walk along the vast plains, surprised to find yourself uneasy for the lack of creatures here. Lost in your thoughts, you trip over a large mound of dirt, falling face first on the tough ground. With a groan you sit up, spitting dust from your mouth. Turning around, you jump back in surprise. There is a creature in front of you, it's head poking out from the hole you tripped over.
It chitters angrily at you, it's horned nose waving angrily as it speaks. "Disrespectful child! How dare you step in my house like that!" She continues to chitter on, but she is speaking to fast for you to understand her words. Finally, she calms down enough that her speech is coherent. " YOu gave me quite a scare, stepping right through my roof like that! I am Ryiahe of The Crow-Black Angelic Lemons, a Leverine of the Island of Varain. Over there.." She says, nodding to another mound, a burrow. "...over there is the other Leverine that lives here. Go see him." She says softly, and dissapears into her burrow. Shrugging, you walk over to the second burrow, and look down. A head pops up, and you jump back with a yelp. It blinks at you calmly.
He speaks in a voice rich like velvet, his dark eyes twinkling with intelligence. " I am Fiasko of the Hot Berries on Ice, a Leverine of the fire element, second in that group. Um...bye!" He says abruptly, and dissapears into the ground again. You blink, about to say something, then decide against it.
Leverine Burrows
