The clatter of stones falling to the ground attracts your attention to the play of shadows near several strange rock formations in the middle of the fields.
Suddenly, a high pitched whinny pierces the air, and an odd equine leaps through the trees, looking annoyed. When she sees you staring at her, she looks down and paws the ground sheepishly with her hooves.
You smile, and then begin to laugh. She looks even more embarassed, and walks slowly towards you, and places her muzzle in your open palm. She seems very sad, or fighting to keep the sadness away. You speak softly to her, and she seems to feel better. Finally a voice speaks. " That is Cindel, a Zegon. She was abandoned by her former bondmate, and has not quite gotten over it" she explains. You nod, understanding. The Zegon seems to have taken quite a liking to you. She smiles at you, and gallops around in a circle. Throwing her head back to the afternoon sky, she lets out a blood-curdling war whinnie. Pawing the empty sky with razor-sharp hooves, she snorts, tossing her long sliky, and miraculously, non-tangled tail. Grinning, you see she has perfect, sharp, gleaming teeth. Pawing the air once more, she lets out another whinny, a different one than the frightening war cry a few minutes ago. This whinny is....saddening, a story of pain and loss, then joy and happiness. It seems to last forever. Finally, she stops. Standing upright again, she doesn't look quite so menacing. For long moment she just stands there, producing a slight hum. Slowly, the hum gets louder, and she starts to omit a vibration that makes the ground shake. It keeps getting louder, and you realize, it is no longer Cindel making the noise, it's hooves!
Another of these...Ze'i'ons, stops in front of you, prancing and whinnying. This one is lovely, her coat many different colours, and she has a graceful yet sturdy build. And this one..has wings! She paws the air, and lets out a war cry. Staring at you, she snorts. " I am Fleetfoot, a Ze'i'on adopted not long ago on Ze'i'on day. I am from the same land as my good friend Cindel." she says, pawing at the hard packed earth under her hooves.
