Livvie had been home but a few hours but she was already feeling bored. She didnt want to go home but being in the manor universe had done something strange to her body. She had mysteriously aged twenty years in a few hours. Not only did she looked it but she also felt it. She looked in the mirror and the lines she first saw in the hotel room were still on her face.
When she had first arrived she had sat down with a few medical journals that Brianna had been getting at old book stores. After about twenty minutes even the books had bored her. They hadnt even helped her.
"Oh lord, what do I do? I wish I can find out whats wrong with me." She sighed. She put her head in her hands.
Suddenly there was a puff of smoke. Livvie sat up and looked around and saw a man in a colorful outfit near the patio doors.
"Hi there!" The man greeted her.
"Who are you?" Livvie said. "Great, not only am I prematurely old, I am also losing my mind."
The man came over and pinched her.
"Ow!" Livvie said. "I didn't ask you to pinch me."
"I know but thats what most people say when they first see me." He said. "I am Dr Bombay."
"Dr Bombay?" Livvie said. "Sounds familiar, but only cause I catch some of Chea and Briannas pop culture chat."
"I am from what you would call the Bewitched universe." He explained sitting next to her. "But its been a slow week so I've been helping out people in need, and boy I have never seen anyone in need more than you. Why are you here by yourself?"
"My friends are in another universe. Our friends in the band are on tour." Livvie said. "I am from the distant past, 1906."
"Distant past, phooey." Dr Bombay said. "1906 was yesterday to me."
"Me as well." Livvie said with a smile. "We went to the manor universe to go on vacation." She explained quickly about the cloning machine accident and what had sent them out on the road. "While out there I started aging rapidly." She said "It was decided I should come back here."
"But you are by yourself, you are lonely." Dr Bombay said. "You don't need magic to tell that, I can see it in your face. You already miss your friends."
"Yeah but it could be bad for me if I go back." Livvie said.
"Not so." Dr Bombay said. "I can help."
"How?" Livvie said.
"Close your eyes." He said. Livvie hesistated. "Trust me. I'm not just a guy in a funny cloak, I can help you."
Livvie sighed and closed her eyes.
"You are only as old as you think you are." He said as he waved his hand above her head. "You truly belong where your heart desires to be the most. You will know where you truly belong, and your own kind of magic can bring you there."
Livvie heard Dr Bombay for a bit then she heard his voice fading out. She wanted to open her eyes and see what was going on, but didn't for fear she would screw up whatever truly magic thing was going on here. Moments passed and his voice was completely gone. The next thing she heard was a yelp of surpise.
"Livvie?" Livvie opened her eyes. It was Brianna. "What are you doing here?" She was with Catfish and another man she didnt recognize.
"I went home." Livvie said. "I couldnt stay, I was getting old...."
"How so? You like radiant to me, Auntie Livvie." Catfish said.
Livvie looked at Brianna who shrugged. She then led her friend to a mirror. She was the exact age she was when she arrived days ago.
"How did that happen?" Brianna asked.
"If I told you, I doubt you would believe me." Livvie said. "How do you have another clone?"
"Thats another story." Brianna said. "This is Paul, an Elijah Wood clone."
"Bri, honey you know I have no idea who that is..." Livvie sighed. "It's nice to meet you anyway."
"Same here." Paul said. "Say, I'm gonna make you all a big lunch right now, would you like that?"
"I would appreciate that." Livvie said. "I'm starving."
"Great." Paul clapped his hands and went out to the kitchen with Catfish tagging behind him.
"How did you...?" Brianna asked.
"Get here without a time gadget?" Livvie smiled. "Lets say its a little tv magic and leave it at that."
Mall Of America
Chea continued to look at the Catherine Zeta-Jones clone.
"So are you buying that or what?" She asked.
"Nah." Chea said. "Do I know you?"
"No but you should know me." She said. "I am the last of the clones you made."
"How do you know that?" Karen asked joining them with Jack in tow.
"Because I can read this jerks mind, which by the way can use some washing, its filthy." She said wrinkling her nose at Jack.
"Four girls, no score, I am obviously in the wrong group." He muttered.
"Ever think it could be you?" She asked.
"No, never me. Other people, thats where the problem lies." Jack said with confidence.
"Yeah, whatever." She said. "I don't have a name. I showed up here and somehow got this job selling newspapers. I dont even have a name tag, and people keeping calling me yoo-hoo. I dont want to be called yoo-hoo, thats a drink...I think." She said.
"I think we oughta call her Glory
." Chea said. "She reminds me of this head cheerleader in our school."
"I remember her. Glory wasnt her name, but they used to say Glory, halleluah shes single again." Karen laughed.
"Do I get to go with you folks? I don't really want to be in a mall forever." Glory said.
"Sure, but I want to buy the skirt I wanted." Chea said. "Why be in a huge mall and not buy anything."
"Thats true. Lets do some looking around." Jack said. "You'll do your shopping and I'll do mine." Jack said with an evil grin.
"Oh no you don't." Karen said. "We've got a full carload again, so one of you has to go home to the manor and fill out a survey."
"I wanna stay!" Glory said jumping up and down. Definately cheerleader material. Jack ogled her a little too obviously. "I can help you find all the spring fashions."
"Its winter still." Karen said.
"So? Be prepared!" Glory said. "Although I don't think I was in the girl scouts."
"Let me stay." Jack said. "I can behave myself among ladies." He said in a weird sincere kind of way.
"Hmm." Karen said. She looked at the time gadget. "I dont think we oughta do that yet anyway." She said. "It might be hard to send anyone outside the boundaries of the mall. Not enough power."
Chea nodded. "All right. We go shopping for a little bit, then leave."
"Do we get shopping buddies?" Jack asked. He grabbed Glorys hand. "I got mine."
"And you'll have a broken hand if you ever try that again." Glory said bestowing a mean glare upon him. "I think hes all right, hes all talk and no walk." Jack grunted something barely audible but the girls chose to ignore it.
"Shopping may be good after all." Chea said. "You always said you wanted to get back into the mural thing, you can get some stuff art here. Karen nodded in agreement. "Let's hope we don't get lost in here."
