Citing Precedent
BIOGRAPHY
Citing Precedent was first formed under the name Impala in 1999 by Andrew Iddon (guitarist/vocalist) and Laurie Hill (drummer) at the tender ages of 13 and 12, respectively. Soon after their formation John-Michael Arnold joined the band as lead guitarist and remained a loyal member through the toughest years of the band's existence.
After a series of changes in the band's line-up; keyboardist Ryan Collins was recruited but replaced by Genevieve Curd (bassist); John Arnold and the other members came to a mutual agreement that he should leave - and
Impala became a three-piece again. However, Gennie left the band soon after, due to other commitments, and Impala had died.
The remaining duo then reformed as
The Boron Control Rods, then Keroscene, then Serenity and finally settled with the name Citing Precedent.
During this baron period yet more members were invited and subsequently discarded or chose to leave, but in 2003 the core members, Andrew and Laurie, decided to finally record 4 years worth of work with the Reading producer Rob Bloomfield aka
Bleeding Ear.
The band have plans to make a LP album and will be gigging soon.
