| Confederate General William 'Little Bill' Mahone, called little Billy by his men as he was just over five feet tall. He seems noted for his short temper and harsh treatment of his men, who on one occasion got there revenge by stealing the Turkeys he'd been fattening up in a small cage outside his tent. An incident made famous by General Mahone's reaction, which is said to have been an almighty tirade much to the amusement of the camp. This is an image that responded well to Colour enhancement, The Skin tone was quite pale so required a very subtle colouring as did the Confederate uniform, which is a very fine shade of Blue/grey. Overall a delicate image to colour, but one which really comes to life. |
