regional ACE funding by 25%.
-My goal is for every chapter in the region to receive ACE funding.I will send information on this and help every chapter that requires assistance. I
want Region VI to receive $3,000 more than last year.
3. Strenghthen the relationship between professional and student chapters.
-One of my goals is to have more activities with the professional chapters.
I want to hold an annual activity with the professional chapters in Region VI to network on a professional level.
4. Annual High School Community Outreach Project
- Along with my regional board, I plan to have an annual high school
community outreach project. I want to visit 4-5 high schools through the
course of the year and talk to them about SHPE and the engineering
curriculum. I want to motivate students to continue with their studies.
5. SHPE
Scholarships
-One of the reasons we are all in SHPE is to receive information and apply
for scholarships. I want to have an updated scholarship section on the
Region VI website and send each chapter monthly emails on scholarships.
6.
Improve communication between student chapters, the Regional Board, and the
National Board.
-A major responsibility for an RSR is to keep the student chapters updated
with news from the National Board. I plan to update each student chapter at
least once a week and always remain open to any other concerns that a
chapter might encounter.
- I also plan to hold Regional Meetings twice each semester to improve on
the posture of the Region. This will require the regional board to be
present and student chapter eboard members are also welcome.
