Before I begin, I would like to say that I am most
proud of this poem.
It was one of the first one's that I wrote and it was published in two
books.
Anyway, now that I'm past my shameless plug...here you go!
Can't you hear the death
bells ringing?
The mortal cries of fear?
Judgement Day is coming.
Death's footsteps I can hear.
Why must I pay for the crimes
you commit?
It's not fair that I suffer and you live.
Grace will see that you are safe.
You will forever remember what happened in this place.
While the blood seeps through my fingers, and sides.
You sit and watch patiently as I die.
Say something, anything, to
get me away.
From the pain, and poisoning in my mind today.
I struggle, strive, and fight.
Putting in all and more of my might.
Giving up, I know what I must do.
I look up and say,
"Forgive them father for they know not what they do."
