Last night I attended the Vancouver Island Music Awards, and was glad to see such a large number of people come out.  It's good to see local talent get some well-deserved recognition.  Congrats to all the artists nominated, and also to those who won.

On another topic, I will admit to slackin on
keep the news page up-to-date.  The reason for this should be visible in the next couple weeks.  I've been redesigning the page from the ground up, and I am just finalizing a couple pages.

Featured on the new page will be a message board: we'd like to have feedback on a continuous basis (and I'm not talkin about that horrible noise my amp made at the last show, when I kicked my pedal across the stage), and what better way than a message board?  I'm also planning on adding a video section to our media page, and possibly a "Graphic Art" page, of some sort (this is idea that has taken the most time to implement, thus the damn-long wait)

Finally, I've have been asked repeatedly when our next show is... we don't really know, yet.  At this exact instant, Cipher is working on some new material which we hope to have out before the next performance.  I'll keep you all posted.

Well, we are doing it again.  Two shows in one weekend, for some reason.  Thanks to everyone who showed to the last show, the place may not have been packed, but at least we had a blast!

So, Duncan is gonna be a new kinda sketch.  I have no idea what to expect, except that the Hybrid guys are talkin some CRAZY shit about stunts...  Cipher'll try not to break anything expensive...  For those up Island-ish on Friday, it is the
22nd at the Duncan Eagle's Hall. The thing starts at 7pm.  Good solid bands... I can't say enough good things about all of them.  $7 at the door.

As for the next multicultural show, it is gonna be killer!  The bands alone will blow you away!!  Now, I don't wanna rave about them too much, but this is a wicked line up!   I've heard the clips from
Last to Leave and I cannot wait to see 'um live.  We played a show with Violent Shade of Green right after we came outta the studio, so we were wiped, but they totally threw it down!  And Yclept...it will be fuckin awesome to share a stage with these guys.  I've seen them, and I have to say...  DO NOT miss the 23rd at the Vic Multicultural Center.  7pm.  Tix $5 at L&M, $7 at the door.

Come on out and mosh with me.
