HABITAT
North America, cultivated in Europe.

A plant that grows best in cool, partly shady,
rich and moist soil, like a forested area.
Root and rhizome are collected in the fall,
after the fruits have ripened and the leaves fall.
They are cut lengthwise and dried, do not use fresh.
