Liverpool’s most successful premier league season came in 2013/14 when they came 2nd and were 2 points behind the eventual winners Manchester city. After Liverpool beat man city they were favourites to win the title with 4 games remaining. They then went to Carrow road and narrowly beat Norwich city 3-2. But then came the game which many people said killed Liverpools title hopes when they lost 2-0 to Chelsea at Andfield after Steven Gerrard slipped. After this they then drew 3-3 away at Selhurst park and won 2-1 against Newcastle Utd on the final day of the season but this wasn't enough.
