Listen CloselyBorn and raised in the warm Floridian sun, I have always had an affinity for my warm sunny beaches and my Jimmy Buffett lifestyle. However, I found my new surroundings in the Volunteer State to be the home always sought after. The fresh air, trees, and this new wonderful thing called snow, has made my heart soar, or perhaps it has been because of finding my true love here in this wilderness. I believe this is the case. Still, as a transplant from Florida and then California, my experiences have been eclectic and multiple. As an openly lesbian woman, my 24 years have shown me what can happen when walls of ignorance and hate have been built, yet I hope for the days when tolerance is welcomed and the standard.

Being a BBL has been one of the more enlightening experiences of my lifetime. Although I question my belief system, perhaps this lifetime is to teach me that underdogs, or those dealt a less-than-the norm-lifestyle are to be celebrated. Part of my desire for this website is to help to bridge the gap not only between those who identify as lesbian, queer, etc., and those who are of larger size. I have accepted the fact that I will not look like the others, and celebrate this. I will not love like the others, and I will celebrate this as well. I adore my BBL lover, myself, and all people. I hope your experience at this website will help you to love and appreciate all as well. A curvaceous form is a beautiful thing. Stop starving yourself. Give those skinny girls a run for their money. Society needs to change and please do your part to change the hateful views of those who are heavier. Listen CloselyBorn and raised in the true south, most would consider me to be a southern belle with my pure accent and the graceful sway of my curvy hips however of course they must overlook my rebellious pierced lip and lesbian lover. Which on the other hand can be hard for some to do, living inside the buckle of the all encompassing Bible belt. I never set out to be unique, okay so maybe that is stretching the truth just a bit, however my agnostic lack-of-belief system is still frowned upon.

While I was born a little over 22 years ago, I am what most would call an old spirit, not necessarily by my own choice as life experiences have simply helped mold my heart into this. Through my learning experiences however, I am thankful to have developed a deeper understanding of the beauty contained inside being a bbl. I have been overweight my entire life and have been the victim of harsh stares and ignorant comments from those who do not understand that I am still a person even though I am larger than the average woman when I personally do not believe there is an average to base comparison with. I am a self-proclaimed, mysterious lesbian poet that refuses to let anyone take being alive for granted. I refuse to let you believe that your worth is lessened due to weight, sexual orientation, or background.
