| ~The Part of Me I Never Had 34~ |
| It was 3 weeks after the last email, and I didnt get any more vicious emails. So I started to let my guard down. But that didnt mean JC did. He was still as protective of me as he was 3 weeks ago. Keith and Michael too. You guys have to ease up, Justin pleaded. Youre always with her. All the time. I bet you guys are with her in the shower even. Dont even think it Justy, I warned. Someone could hurt you in the shower JC started. Dont even think about it! I jumped. Just thinking *************************************************************************** Guys just hang a sec. I gotta go to the bathroom, I announced, heading to the doors. Wait! Ill come with you! JC! I shouted, exasperated and frustrated. This security is driving me crazy! You never know if shes gonna come out and hurt you, Michael warned. But come on you guys! You are with me everywhere I go! Were just protecting you, Keith joined in. You dont have to come with me to the bathroom! I said through clenched teeth. Ok, ok, ok. Well just wait for you, Michael suggested. The rest of the guys just looked at the 3 like they were crazy. Which they were. I walked into the bathroom. But when I got past the door, someone grabbed me. They clamped their hand over my mouth, preventing me shouting out. With her other arm, she held on tight to my middle. I struggled, but she didnt budge. She dragged me over to the sink area. I looked in the mirror. It was a girl about an inch or two taller than me, with brown hair and blue eyes. But they were icy blue. Flared with hatred. Heres what you get, she practically cackled. She let go of my mouth, but then dunked my head into water. I screamed into the water, my face covered with air bubbles. She pulled my head up by my hair. Before I could take a full breath, she dunked my head again. I struggled even more, but her strong arm held my middle tightly. My oxygen was getting used up fast. I remembered the day at Valleyfair My foot connected with her shin. She let go of me in pain. My head shot up out of the water. I took the precious gulps of air. My lungs were slowly cooling down. I looked at the girl. Her eyes burned into me. She lunged at me. I sidestepped her, but I also slipped on a puddle of water. I landed flat on my back. She towered over me as she put her foot on my chest. She slowly put more and more pressure on my chest, making my breathing short and hard. I used my hands and tried to lift her foot. It did a little help. You wont get him if its the last thing I do! she shouted with a mad gleam in her eyes. Why? I asked meekly. My breathing was getting harder and harder. I love him! If I cant have him, no one else can! she shouted madly. Why dont you just move on? I cant. Why? I asked, wanting to stall her. Hes the one If he was the one, then why are you hurting him? She didnt answer. Well? I asked, feeling the pressure lessen. The gleam returned to her eyes. Im not hurting him. You are. How? I said, getting up slowly. I was relieved that she didnt try to stop me. While she looked at the floor, I slowly inched my way to the door. I was a foot away from the door when she looked up. Seeing a glare, I looked at her hands. Oh my god! She has a knife!! Shes gonna kill me!! I thought frantically. I decided to go back to my original plan. So how am I hurting him? I asked again, gaining a couple of inches toward the door. I might not know, but I do know one thing she said as I inched along to the door. YOU DIE!! she shrieked, lunging at me. I jumped the rest of the way out the door, looking for JC as I heard her fall. Jessie! JC said worriedly. What happened? I jumped at him and held him tight. What happened? he repeated. Shes here, I whispered. I could feel his fear. It just made mine rise. Where? YOU! I heard the cold voice. I felt it too. It was like a steel knife going through my skin. Which is what she had probably intended on. SONDRA! JC shouted. JC, just get out of the way! she cried furiously. NO! I refused to turn around. I looked ahead of me and saw that the guys looked very tense and their eyes were blazing. Why? Hasnt she caused you enough grief already? No. In fact, no grief at all! Just get out of the way! she shouted again, causing a small crowd. Why do you want to hurt her? he asked coldly. She stole you away from me she responded feebly, causing some mumbling in the crowd. I kept my hold on JCs neck. He broke up with you before he even met her! Michaels voice came. I was going to get him back, but then she had to come and ruin everything, she spat bitterly. Well obviously it backfired, Keith defended icily. Not for long! First I felt JCs arm move lower, as he turned like lightning, then I felt him shrivel in pain, crying out. I let go of his neck to look at him, terrified of what Id see. And when I saw what happened, I had a right to be. JCs face was twisted in pain. He was cradling his right shoulder. There was blood dripping from his fingers. OHMYGOD JC! I cried as I took my shirt off and holding it on the wound. It was at least an inch deep. He breathed through clenched teeth, obviously in unbearable pain. Jessie he whispered softly. Dont try to talk JC. Save your strength, I commanded. I turned around in fury, looking at Sondra. The knife lay on the ground, dripping with blood. LOOK WHAT YOU DID!!! I shouted angrily. I could feel my face turning colors. Her face was in horror. I-I-I didnt mean toI didnt She tried to run away, but Keith and Michael caught her. Her legs were flailing. I whipped out my cell phone and dialed 911. Hello? Yeah. I have an emergency! My husbands been stabbed and we have the stabber. Send an ambulance and the police please! Calm down. Theyll be there. Where are you? I gave her the address in a rush. Theyll be there in a few minutes. Click. I put the cell away and dropped down next to JC. The blood was seeping through quickly. I hugged his left side. Dont worry sweetie. Youre gonna be ok. He nodded weakly. I looked at our prisoner. Youll pay Sondra. You can be sure of it |
