The Part Of Me I Never Had

We walked around for a while until we heard Joey call out, �Hey guys wait up!�
We turned around and saw Joey, with a handful of napkins in his hand.
I snatched one and said, �What�s this? Evette 452-9746? Lila 482-7693? Joey!�
He looked at me with a very guilty expression on his face.
I threw back the napkin. He snatched it back up.
�C�mon guys, let�s change. But we�re still going on more rides later!� I said.
�Come on Jess. I�ve been on rides with you all morning!� JC whined.
I stopped and dropped Justin�s hand. I stood very close to JC, put my arms around his neck and put my face very close to his. I could hear him breathing rapidly. I looked into his nervous eyes. �Please?� I whined softly.
�O-ok,� he stammered.
I smiled and hugged him tight. I kissed his cheek and whispered, �Thanks! You�re the best.�
He smiled weakly as I pulled away from him.
I turned and looked for my clothes.
I was about to turn when I heard Justin and JC talking.
�Man, she has got you wrapped around her finger,� Justin said.
�It�s just�there�s something about her. Something that just�<sigh>I can�t explain it. I guess it�s safe to say I really like her,� JC said.
�Oh my gosh. JC Chasez likes me? Alright!�
�You don�t just like her. I think you are in loooove,� Justin said half serious half joking.
�Do you think she likes me?�
�Gosh are you so blinded by love that you�re not opening your eyes? It�s obvious that she likes you as much as you like her.�
�Very perceptive�
�But-�
�But nothing C. Just ask her out. It�s not gonna be any different than what you�ve already done. It�ll be easy.�
�Ok. I�ll try.�
I decided to turn around. �You�re still gonna come with me right?�
�Count on it,� Justin replied for him.
�Great,� I said as I headed toward the locker rooms.

I came out wearing what I had before we got in-my top and pants.
I went up to JC and slipped my hand into his.
�Y�all ready?� I asked them.
They nodded and we made our way out.
We stopped at the line of the log ride.
�I think I�m gonna skip out on this one,� said Joey as he made his way to a food stand.
�Oh brother.�
�None of the rest of you guys are gonna bail on me right?� I looked around. �Where�s Chris? What happened to him? Argh!�
I felt an arm around my shoulder. �Don�t worry Jess. You still have us,� JC assured me.
�At least you guys are here.�
When we got to the front, only JC, Justin, and I remained. I grabbed Justin�s hand and held onto it. They weren�t gonna get away from me.
We got into the log. I was in front, JC in the middle, and Justin bringing up the rear. I sat between JC�s legs, lying on his chest. He had his arms around my waist.
He held me tighter as we dropped down, getting only very damp from the water.
When we got off, I held their hands and dragged them off to more rides.

By the time we stopped for dinner, Justin, JC and I had almost ridden every ride there.
We all collapsed in a heap on a bench. We were so tired from walking around, damp with sweat and water.
The time was 7:30.
�I don�t know how you made it through the whole morning with her C. I can�t even last 2 hours,� Justin panted tiredly.
�I�m the one with the energy remember?�
�You guys aren�t the only ones tired. I was the one who had to drag your sorry butts,� I countered.
They were too tired to do anything about it.
�Guys quit complainin� and get into the cars. We�ll meet you guys at Country Buffet al-right?� Chris said.
�Ok, ok,� we groaned.
We finally got in the car.
�Want to stop anywhere else before the buffet?� he asked.
�The beach,� I said, ignoring the fact that I was dead tired.
�Where is it?�
�Just over there.�

We got out of the BMW and I shook off the feeling of someone following.
We sat down in a secluded place I had led him too.
JC and I just sat there, side by side, hand in hand.
I stared at the waves and the sky when JC asked, �Can I ask you something?�
�Sure. Anything.�
He took a deep breath. �Would you like to go out with me sometime?�
I brightened. �I�d love to!�
He looked relieved. �Great!�
We sat there staring at each other, growing closer and closer by the second. My stomach was doing summersaults and I was growing ever nervous.
Finally, our lips touched.
An unknown energy filled me as our lips moved together, slow then picking up speed. I put my arms around his neck and his arms went around me, pulling me closer. Never have I ex-perienced such bliss in a simple kiss. We parted, breathless and starry eyed.
�Wow,� I breathed.
I was so caught up in the moment I didn�t even notice another person running home, wiping his tears away.
