| That was a great dinner, I sighed, plopping down onto my soft, ruby leather couch. Ditto, he agreed, sitting down next to me. What time is it now? About 9:30. Its still early. You wanna watch a movie? I asked. Sure. You pick. Ok, he agreed, getting up and heading for the shelf. He came back with a tape in his hand. Got it, he smiled. You can put it in Joshy. He pushed the tape inside the VCR and sat back down. I fast-forwarded it through the previews until the title. The Little Mermaid? I asked skeptically. He laughed. Yeah. Just wanted to revive my childhood a little bit ya know? Ok, ok. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^ I leaned up against Josh. Sebastian was starting sing-along with probably all of the other creatures in the lake. You know you want to kiss the girl, he sang. I know I do, Josh muttered. What? I asked, looking up at him. Nothing. I stared into his deep blue eyes. I kept my gaze, avoiding the feeling in my heart that felt as if my heart was gonna pump out of my chest. Suddenly, Josh leaned in all the way and pressed his lips against mine. The feeling was like an electric charge to my heart, making it beat faster and faster. Sebastian was still singing his little crab heart out. To my disappointment, he parted from me. Im sorry. I dont know what got into me, he apologized. Theres really no need to apologize Joshy, I said softly. Really? I actually enjoyed it. He smiled and leaned in again, kissing me for longer and sweeter. Once we parted, the movie was nearing the end. I cuddled up against him and his put his arm around me. I closed my eyes and fell asleep from exhaustion. |
