I picked up my bags as I walked to the bus with Justin.
It seems so long ago we used to ride one o these things, I said jokingly.
Youll get used to it, he replied.

I got out of my bunk sleepily. I had gone to sleep so late in the morning. Now it was 1 in the afternoon. We were going to a farther city than before. The distance was longer anyway.
I stood up straight, but was thrown back by the bus going into a pothole. A very deep pothole.
Letting out a shriek of surprise, I landed on the carpeted floor with a thump.
JC charged into the room, with a worried look on his distraught face. Jessie?!
His eyes found me on the floor and rushed to me right away.
I was already getting up, rubbing the back of my head.
Are you ok? he asked nervously, checking me for any damage.
Im fine. The bus just hit a pothole thats all, I explained, getting up on my feet.
Are you sure?
Im fine JC.
I walked out to the lounge and opened my pop.
After a few sips, I felt more awake.
So I see youve awoken from the dead, huh Jessie? Chris joked as he sat down next to me.
Shut up Chris. I didnt get to sleep until like, I dunno, 3 in the morning? I pointed out.
Ah. But I didnt fall asleep until 2 and I still got up at 7. And you got 9 hours on ya, he replied.
Well Im not used to it. Maybe I am used to it somehow, but not much.
Hey JJ wassup? Justin greeted as he sat on the other side of me.
Not much. Just getting a little lesson from Father Time over there, I teased, gesturing toward Chris.
He put his hands on his chest, as if offended. What? Me? Never!
I sat back in the seat sighing, I am so glad the tours over in a week.
JJ, youre getting married! Justin cried out, getting up and dancing.
But theres still so many things to figure out. Weve got the date, time, when, where, but nothing specific. We didnt plan what clothes for us and you guys to wear, the design of the cake, the decorations, the place to go to on our honeymoon, I rambled, stopping as Chris clamped his hand over my mouth.
Hey! I mumbled into his hand.
Just settle down. Youll figure it all out. Youve got 1 month and a half, he said calmly. Then he let go of my mouth.
Yeah really JJ. Youre getting too worked up, Justin added.
I plopped down in my seat.
I just wish we could start planning this out, I sighed.
***************************************************************************
"Home sweet home! I shouted as I ran into the house. I dropped my bags on the couch and ran around the living room.
Cmon Jessie. Theres still a lot of things to do, Lance called from the front steps.
Yeah! You gotta help us with our bags! Joey called after.
I rolled my eyes and trudged back out.
***************************************************************************
My foot was tapping in time with the music I was listening to. I heard a faint knock on the door. I paused the song and walked to the door and opened it.
Hey, I greeted.
Hey Jessie. I was wondering if you could give me your opinion on something, he asked.
What about, C? I questioned.
Just let me show you, he said, grabbing my arm and dragging me off to his room.
JC, what are you gonna ask me? I asked, confused.
Just sit right here, Ill be right back, he said as he went to the bathroom.
I waited impatiently, tapping my foot.
Ok, now just tell me what you think of this, ok? JC called from the bathroom.
Ok! I yelled back.
I kept my eyes on the door of the bathroom, waiting for JC to come out.
He stepped slowly out of the bathroom, carrying the most beautiful dress I had ever seen!
It was a snowy white, V necked, bare back, sleeveless, and the gown part of it was layered with silky fabric and lace, each trading off layers. The upper part of the dress was decorated with small white beads, creating a design of vines and flowers. Around the waist was a ribbon of white, but shimmered with gold. It was tied at the back, letting the long leftover ribbon running down the back of the dress.
Oh my god JC. This is beautiful! I exclaimed, running my hand over the dress. How did you know my size?
I had a little help with that, he smiled.
This is absolutely gorgeous! I complimented.
And theres one more thing, he added.
What else?
This, he said, pulling out a circle of fake white roses, intertwined with each other. Attached to it was a sort of golden veil.
Oh my god. JC, when did you have time to do this? I breathed.
You know when you showed me how to use the Internet? he asked, his grin stretching to his ears.
Internet shopping? You? I asked, disbelieving.
Ok so I had Justin help me, but I picked out the dress. It was customized just for you.
You designed this? I asked incredulously.
He grinned proudly. "Chris isn't the only one who can design clothes."
I jumped off the bed and hugged him.
He staggered back into the dresser.
When I let go, I asked, But what about you? You dont have your tux.
You dont know that, he said mischievously as he disappeared into the bathroom again.
He came back out carrying a white tuxedo. It wasnt very formal. It was a tight white long sleeve shirt with the tuxedo over coat. The bowtie was shimmering like the ribbon on my dress. Then there were the khakis. But I loved it all the same.
JC. Its so nice! I exclaimed.
Glad you like it. He sat down next to me. I designed it so we wouldnt be so hot in the Orlando sun.
They look great.
Wait another moment, he said as he made his way to the bathroom again.
Cant wait, I said sarcastically.
He came out again, carrying a huge pile of golden dresses. They were made out of the same fabric as the bowtie and the ribbon. They were about knee length, with ruffles at the bottom. Then at the top, it was v necked, with lace in the space of the v, no sleeves, and white gems around the middle, creating a flower design similar to mine.
Wow, I breathed.
Like em? he asked nervously.
Theyre beautiful!
He breathed a sigh of relief.
For the bridesmaids? I asked.
He nodded.
You designed them?
He nodded again.
You paid for them?
He nodded once, but stopped.
I stood up. How much?
He stood up also and put his arms around my waist. What does it matter when its perfect? he asked softly, putting his forehead against mine.
I dont want you to spend so much money C.
Ive been saving up for quite some time just for this Jessie. Please, he whispered.
I sighed. He knew how to play my weaknesses well. Oh alright. Just as long as you dont pay for all of it, I warned.
Ok. You win. He leaned in farther and kissed my lips softly.
Did you plan anything more?
Guilty was written all over his face.
What else?
Decorations, invitations, and food? he replied weakly.
I hit his arm lightly. You sneak!
He smiled guiltily.
Let me see what you planned.
Ok
