Chucky is a good-quality shooter with great velocity. Though his height does not favor him on the defensive end but he is simply outstanding on the fast smash. For a USF player his 19.3 ppg was the highest scoring average in 1984-85. As a junior in 1995 he Earned All-Metro Conference after averaging 16.8 points and 6.5 assists. Till 1996 he played college ball at South Florida and was Named All-Conference USA as a senior averaging a team-high 19.3 ppg. and 4.0 apg. in 28 games. He is considered as a "first shoot, second pass" type of point guard and a leading scorer with 1,619 points. During his senior year he was promoted as the top 5 point guards in the nation. To record more than 1,600 points and 500 assists he became only 1 out of 2 South Florida players. He was ranked 1st on USF's all-time list in career 3-point field goals.
