I live on a small farm in Cardinal, Ontario Ca. along the shore of the mighty St. Lawrence River. We moved to Cardinal from Ottawa in the fall of 2003.
I have been Landscape Gardening since 1985 operating as Plant Partners. Plant Partners was originally started as a landscape/Interiorscape (Interior plant maintenance and installations ) Company. Plant Partners has had some pretty high profile clients such as Newbridge, Enbridge, CBC, CMHC, Pitney Bowes, Mead Johnson, and a bunch of other companies. My last notable interiorscape project was doing the consulting on a large new atrium built by JDS Uniphase (just before the crash). Over the past few years we have dropped the Interior plant maintenance and stuck to consulting . The weekly visits 52 weeks a year just didn't allow for any vacation time. (like we the self employed ever get vacation time anyway :)
A couple of winters ago a friend asked me to
help out on a house painting job he had. I have always been big on doing
my own home renovations but I had never worked with professional
painters/renovators before. I enjoyed it quite a bit, so now (many projects
later) I offer handyman/property
maintenance services.
One of the biggest at home events, for us, (besides grandchildren) was the January 98 ice storm. Check out my ice flowers to see what shut down our power for 10 days.
We have selected a few herbs that grow well around here (Zone 5).
From these we blend our own herb tea's :-) as well as enjoy the best
flavored meals.
Water,
earth, air and the
