I'm not certain of the history of this car, but I believe it was driven originally by Roger McCaig. At Road America on this weekend in 2006 it was the car to beat, although one of the very well-driven small-block Chevy powered McLarens, (amazingly,) kept him honest. I read that #55 was pulling 210mph on the main straight. I don't know if that's true or not, but I would not be surprised. This shot was taken from the spectator bridge as the cars climb the hill heading up the front straight. I was estimating that the car was already doing 160-170 by this point. It was very impressive. It is great to see these cars being driven in anger as they were made to do.
