    Antoine has a personal policy to always remain in the employment of the king of Kelsa as his royal treasurer for whoever might be on the throne. Although the current ruler is Gyee Zur, Antoine remains loyal to the descendants of the Dictine family and hopes that they will reclaim the throne. He secretly helps Albene and Barguz when they need it. He also acquired a job as court dancer for his distant cousin, Kitty.

    Antoine also plays a role in Kelsian politics, often acting as a royal emissary, partly because of his fluency in other languages. Though he is Kelsian, he looks past cultural biases to acquire the best possible technology for Kelsa, even if it is from Melnir. His open-mindedness has gained him many friends in high places.
