| Completely surprised and delighted with PlayStation's Chrono Cross' success on Game Informer's 100 Best Games List, the creator of the game series, the great Hironobu Sakaguchi, (also the creator of all the Final Fantasy games) has decided to go through with a PS2 Chrono title. I don't think anyone is disappointed with the idea. It's still a ways off, but Square's new Play Online beta tests this fall may pay off with online play and big multi-console ambitions. This will most certainly be one of the biggest RPG hits ever, as well as a warm welcome to the Chrono Series... We'll keep you updated... - j0$H (chronomage11) |

| This just in! Square has copyrighted two new titles for upcoming release, and one of them has a 'Chrono' in it. Yes, that's right, a new game tentatively called 'Chrono Break' Only bad thing is we don't know anything about it or even a release date. We'll keep you posted tho'. - j0$H (chronomage11) |

| In some shocking news today, Enix and Square have officially announced that they will merge into one company in an effort to dispel competition. According to Reuters, the deal will be worth 89 billion yen ($727 million US$), and will go into effect on April 1st 2003 under the company�s new alias Square Enix. Getting down to the finer points of it all the deal, which will have Square exchange each of its shares for 0.81 in Enix, while Enix issues 48.76 million new shares in a swap for Square�s, is expected to be a profitable one for the 2003/04 year. This comes as the two companies have stated that they are aiming for an operating profit of 18.5 billion yen, with sales of 61 billion yen for the 2003/04 year to March. Moreover, 80 billion yen in sales and 27 billion yen in profits are expected for the 2004/05 year. Whew! Go Square! oops...i mean, Square Enix! |
