The introduction of foreign financial and logistical support for the Stargate Program started thanks to these reforms that has allowed the SGC to become more self-sufficient and able to operate under the radar of the American Media when the SGC was officially moved to a special built facility in one of the mountains in the <> National Park in Montana on 1 January 2005.
The new facility was custom built to support the Stargate program form its original design point that started in 2000 during a Pentagon audit to find a more secure location to relocate the program. Construction for the new facility started in 2002, and the funding for the project was hidden in Budgeted funds to support the US War on Terror. After the major world powers where brought into the program funding form those nations where added to the budget for the new facilities to be used by the SGC.
Lt. General George S. Hammond maintains command of the Stargate Program as well as filling the position as the President�s Homeworld Security Advisor. To fulfill both of the positions Lt. Gen. Hammond spends two days a week with the President providing a personal briefing on SGC operations and defense programs being developed to counter the Goa�uld threat.
