Two days in a row in the journal! I'm out of control!!! Lol.
Let's see what other things I haven't written about in here lately . . . . I know there was something. Damn this headache. What was it??
Oh--over the weekend Karla and I went to this little coffee shop place that we've begun frequenting. Been there 2 times before for lunch, and this time went for breakfast. I had hash and eggs which was pretty mundane, but good. Karla had a Farmer's Omelet that I finished for her. It was excellent. Everything tasted so fresh in it that it was popping! Yum. After going to Job Service where K filled out 4 more Apps for me (got to love her for that), we went to some little sub shop and got a pair of subs. We shared one and put the other away for later. Not as good the next day. That night K got out of work early and we went to Schillers? I think that was the name of the place. We thought they had German beers on tap. They did. Hacker Pschorr. Not up to Milwaukee standards, but cool for Peshtigo. They even gave me a sample of each type. Three little glasses for free, and one huge mug of Dark to go with dinner. I ordered Perch, Karla Steak. Both were good, though the steak could have used less sauce, and the Perch less breading. The salad bar was excellent, though I only snacked off it. Pate. Yum.
Swapped Fridges on Saturday. The one that had come with the house turned out to be worthless. We had a spare in the garage for beer and soda, and brought that in. It works well, but is ugly and beaten up, missing part of a door shelf. So we are trying to win our football pool to buy a nice big one that'll work for the whole family, and is energy efficient. A new cooktop too, I hope. There have been some electric cooktops on sale cheap, but I DO NOT like electric! Gas for the cooktop, electric for the oven is my mantra. All about control!
Packers played on Sunday, and won handily. Karla fell asleep during the game somehow. Couldn't believe it, but I didn't wake her up. Must have needed the sleep.
Our football pool started with 84 people in it in week one, but is down to 21 already. Sooo many people picked Miami that first week to beat Houston. Whoops! The couple running the pool...the wife was out the first week, and the dog this past week. How they entered the dog, I'll never know!
Oh yeah, what's up with all the guys in Menominee cheating on their wives? Or wanting to at least. I think at least 3 married men have hit on Karla since I've known her. And all three were guys whose wives she knows!
Must be something in the water. I'd say I'll drink bottled water to prevent the same thing happening, but I'm not married, so no worries. Lol.
