next day's entry

Here we are again.  Thursday is done, Thank You!!  I used to like them, now they just take way too long.

Shared the adult stories section of the site with someone yesterday and never heard another word from her.  I wonder if her fingers were just too busy to type?

Got home from work and drove the Beetle around a little.  The last time I drove the car it had no brakes, no reverse and no speedo.  Now all of those things work.  Shifting is a little weird because of the short -throw gearshift.  Takes a minute to get used to.  And the whole car needs to be driven a bit to get used to the whole being driven thing.  Lol.

Took some pics and sent it to Karla's friend who is interested in buying the car.  Have to see if that goes anywhere.  There's a nice larger car for sale here for $3000, with air conditioning.  It's in great shape too.  So that might be a nice thing to get if she does buy it.  Frankly I don't fit in the Beetle all that well anymore.  It's more for smaller people.

After that I went to the store with my Mother to buy Shaun something for his birthday.  This was over the objections of Art.  They don't really have any money, but who's going to tell my Mom "no" and get her to listen?  No one that I know, that's for sure.

Ended up at Kmart a lot longer than I expected due to a display fo chamois cloth mops that some foreign guy was doing a demo of.  Of course we left with one of those too.  Back at the house, I went to bed pretty early.

Woke to yelling.  The 'rents arguing over money and going up north this weekend, I think.  Mom wants to go for the whole weekend and stay in a hotel.  Art wants to just go for the day or not at all.  I think if money is that tight, they should skip it.  Mom said something about "The Lord will take care of it, take a leap of faith."  Which is fine, I think, but you have to remember that He would do that in his own timeframe.  And that might not be the same as yours.  So you have to be careful not to get so far in debt . . . .   Oh well, my point won't ever get across to them.

Be interesting to see what happens.  I think if they are there it'll help with Nathan's behaviour a little bit.  But then we won't be seeing the real him.   Speaking of which--telephone message he left me yesterday.  Very funny, and precocious.  "Dad, It's your son, Nate, Nathan.  Please call me back.  If you don't get this by Friday . . . well, then you are just odd.  But I can respect that.  I love you.  Bye."

I laughed and laughed.
