News of the day? Hmm, got back to Waukesha from work, grabbed my Target card, and went shopping, then to Farm and Fleet for some gasline. Back at the house, the parents had left for bible study already, so I got to miss that whole thing.MIssed supper too, but cold is better than nothing. So I ate a big plate of tater tots and chicken. Then went out to the garage. Tried to call Nathan and got Karla instead. Sometimes my phone's voice calling doesn't work, instead it called the last number dialled. Funny, I was like, what are you doing there?
Anyway, replaced the broken gasline on the Beetle. Put some gas in, checked for leaks. Looked in the engine compartment. Noticed there was no connection between that gas line and the main one. So I reconnected that, and hit the gas twice, flipped the switch, punched the button, and it started right up. This car has been sitting in the garage for a year and a half, and at Julie's dad's shop for awhile before that. And really, I hadn't started it in over 10 years, though Julie said she drove it a bit. It started, and ran quietly, and well. No leaks. Lights work, but none of the guages so far. Also, the front and rear bumper need to be removed and new holes drilled for them. A bunch of clean up too.
But otherwise it's great. The fact it started was a big one. And it drives, I drove it around the subdivision, then washed all the dirt of the garage off of it. Looks very, very nice from 20 feet away. Except the rusty hub caps, but that I can fix.
Missed Big Brother doing all this, but I'm not a fan of most of the Wednesday night show except for the HOH competition. I tried to catch that part, but got in just a little too late.
Well, now I need to finish getting ready for work. Lucky me!
