What have I missed writing about lately? Oh, Karla's birthday. She tried to trick me by saying that she didn't want anything for it, but I had a feeling she really did. Go figure.
So, I spent some time searching for the perfect stuff. A cool set of candle that are coffee scented. A couple of candy bars. So, check off candles, coffee, and chocolate. A dozen roses. Check to flowers. A DVD of a movie she loves. Check. A book by her favorite author, that I have an interest in reading as well. A few other books by authors I like, to share with her. A coupon for breakfast made by me. But no card. Still, it went over pretty well. She seemed very happy, burned the candles all weekend, ate the chocolate, started the books, admired the flowers and watched the movie. I made breakfast the next morning, but never recovered the coupon, so I'm on the hook for another one sometime. Oh, well.
I think I forgot to write about the nice thing that happened earlier in the day that I went to the hospital. Went to a luncheon at work, and ate, came back to work, and an hour later found out I won one of the Grand Prize raffles. A two days stay at Olympia Resort. Including tax and gratuity. Comes to about $300 or so. Very nice. Just have to save up enough money to get food while staying there. Lol. Good thing the certificate is good until next Summer.
Monday--Came home from work. Or back to Waukesha anyway. Mom asked where the mulch was. I said, WHAT??? She is nuts. I hadn't even thought of getting mulch. Last time I got some I ended up in the hospital the next day with kidney stones. Granted, the work didn't cause them, but at the same time, it did aggravate them. I said I'd get some when I felt more like it.
Then I get shit about why I didn't come back to her house after the hospital. I said, I went home--meaning Menominee. She said, this is home. I said, ok. Then she said I could have worked on my car. I said, I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL!! I didn't work on anything this weekend!!!
Then I shut my door and tried to download Bookworm for 2 hours. Computer was all effed up. Ended up installing a backup, and going to bed. Waking up with a headache. Get an interesting IM, but then that doesn't go anywhere.
Blah blah blah.
