Birthday,
Karla!!!
So, here we are on the 8th of July, and Karla has had another birthday. That's the second one I've known her for, whoopee!! And this journal thing is working really strangely today! Anyway, All kinds of weirdness recently--This is what happens when you have a week off work and spend it with your friend, her kids, and your son.
For today, let's just say the week was stressful and I didn't get even a third of the things I wanted to get done, done. The bathroom plumbing is finally finished, but the floor still needs to be completed. The staircase drilling is almost complete--and will be easy to finish. Finally found a bit that lasts for more than a hole or two, and bought 4 of them. Have to finish the drilling, then get the railings, measure 2 to 3 times, then drill those holes, then install the whole thing. Then we need to finish cleaning up the stairs and staining them.
I had hoped to get further. I had also hoped to look for, and find a job. Having too many kids around, and K working each night made that a lot tougher than I had thought it would be. I wanted to leave and go looking, but felt guilty leaving her alone with the kids, because I knew what it was like at night alone with them. They really didn't get alone well much of the week. There were moments when they did, but it's so hard to notice them amidst all the badness. Had a long talk with Nathan about his role in all of it. Hopefully, he will change his attitude somewhat. We'll have to see.
Brewers have won 2 in a row, and have a chance at having 2 playes in the All-star game. So, vote for Geoff Jenkins!! He's in 2nd right now out of 5. We need to put him over the top!!! Go to www.MilwaukeeBrewers.Com to find the link--I can't seem to get it on here! Agh!!
