Oh, wait, something did happen. I went to an old friends to get a bedroom set he was giving away. I haven't seen this guy in 10 years, and it was pretty shocking. Living on a lake, with and inground pool and hot tub. He owns 3 Harleys, the cars, including a classic. A huge motorhome, and other toys. All this was accomplished after he became married. Pretty impressive collection. And if you go by the old saying, he who has the most toys wins, then he might be winning. LOL.
The song, A Beautiful Day, by Chris Cagle, is an excellent, excellent song.
Been training this woman at work, and she stretches my habit of getting along with anyone. Every question she asks is prefaced by, "I'm sorry, Chris". Very irritating. I told her not to do it anymore, but she can't seem to stop. And now she asks questions really quietly, and I don't usually hear her, or notice until I see that she's just sitting there doing nothing with a patient in front of her.
Slow learner. And no patience. Not a good combination for her to have. Hopefully, she'll get over it soon.
I'm getting tired of the headaches she's giving me.
Left work on time and went back to Waukesha. There, the 'rents are arguing over going to the post office, so I grabbed the mail and went and dropped it off. Very easy. Came back, watched the rest of "High Fidelity" (Highly recommended, by the way). Then came time for me to drive Art to work. Managed to get the van for the trip, so I had air conditioning. It was only 60, but sunny, and windy, so I needed the air.
Brought him in, and called Ken and Brian to see if either was home so I could stop by and say hi. Ken I missed by about a minute, and Brian was at school for Finals. Now I am getting together with Ken tomorrow night, and Brian on Thursday. Trying to get into the habit again. It is hard though--you reach a certain age and . . . . Well, they are both married, and I'm single. So a lot of couple stuff that could be done is out, and the times we can get together are a bit less.
But for this week it won't be hard!
