Woke up Saturday, and got started. K told me the bad news, our bagel and coffee place had closed and we had to try a new place. More expensive, and no bagels. But the Cafe Mocha was still pretty good. From there to Menards, where we bought necessary stuff and a bunch of planting stuff. Time to get the garden going, and really a good idea for any down time we might have. Planting can be so relaxing. Also, a bird feeder and a bird house for the many birds we have.
At the house I got to work, and K ran back and forth between houses, moving stuff, and cleaning, etc. To be honest, I was a little sad about that. I only get the weekends and wanted to spend more time with her, but there was work to be done, so we worked.
I fixed my leak, and moved on to other projects, trying to finish the down bath, and get the up bath working too, drilling holes for the railing in between, etc. A new leak appeared and needed repair, and a faucet stopped working right, but those repairs were made. I'm waiting to see if anything else pops up. The 2nd floor plumbing is cashed from age and non-use, so needs replacement, but before that I have to put in the tub surround, washer and dryer next weekend.
We had a bit of time Saturday to eat our Chinese, and drink some wine, then back to work, then to the apartment, where we fell asleep before 9. Finally time alone. Asleep. Sunday was pretty much the same. K finished moving things to the house aside from shower stuff and the computer and entertainment center, and we slept in the new place that night. Monday more work, and K and I did some planting. I forgot to go to Job Service--one of the reasons I'd taken the day off. Damn! NO time to be forgetting things like that. Too important. I have about 30 reasons I want/need to move.
And that was the weekend. Work work work!!

Oh!! Karla finished stripping the stairs and they look great! She put in a ton of work on them. I don't envy her at all.
