| My Wednesday! So very exciting. Spent most of it at work, of course. Talk to Karla a little bit, talked to Shaun a bit more. Heard he missed me. Called him when leaving work because he missed me. We talked for about half an hour, with a little of Karla in the middle of it to tell me about the work the heating company has been doing. They are just starting out, but its exciting. HEAT! Be nice to have it soon. Hopefully by the 7th of March, so it'll be nice and comfortable during Spring Break. Have SO much work to do that week. I might just bring my bed up there and sleep there. If I can get the water working, that is. House, house, house, don't you ever think of anything else? Sure, after work went over to Brian's for the first time since last summer. We hung out for awhile waiting for Lori to get home, taking care of Chloey, having a beer a piece--the rest were frozen and we couldn't go get more until Lori showed. Talked houses, comics, music a little. Lori showed about 7:30 and we went to 7-Eleven for Chew, Cousin's for subs and the liquor store for some non-frozen beer. Back to the house, slammed the beer, ate the subs, checked out some cool old cartoons that B had downloaded. Captain America, Spider-man, Hulk. He was even wearing a Captain America shirt when I arrived. Pretty cool. The t-shirt was modelled after the costume Cap wears. A little talk of opening a comic store was there again, but that still seems a pipe dream to me. I'd love to do it, and with the right money behind me, I think I could make a run at anyone in this city, but it seems a dream, and one that I can't afford to get too caught up in. Too disappointing if it doesn't turn out. Went to see Daredevil then. A better movie than I had thought really. I had low expectations because I had loved the book so much, but the plotline was able to hold together mostly, and it held some of the most interesting of DD's story. The whole Electra thing and all. The action sequences were too fast to really follow and that was frustrating, and Bullseye was overplayed by Colin Farrell. Granted, he was kind of a knob in the book too, but it was just a little weird in the movie. I did enjoy the namedropping that some other critics complained about, I thought it gave a little something to the fans that was nice. The little scene at the end with Bullseye was cool too. He'll be back . . . Got home around 11:45. Boy was I ready to sleep. So that's what I did . . . C |
