Ok . . . .
So at 3 we found out they wouldn't be filming until Sunday, so we left for Milwaukee. The drive was pretty good until just near MIlwaukee when it started pouring rain and traffic got seriously backed up. Took nearly an extra hour. I called Brian a couple of time letting him know we'd be a little late, and then a little later. He was picking up Fish Frys for us, and we would be playing Monopoly, most likely.
Finally got to the hotel and checked in. This place was huge! Jeez. On the bright side it looked nice, on the dark side a Baptist convention was checking in on our floor. We found that to be a problem the next morning when the walls transferred every little noise into our room at 7 am. Very not nice.
Anyway, unloaded and hit the road for Brian's house. Got there about 8:15. They'd already eaten--the pregnant wife and 2 year old couldn't wait for us to get there. I was a little sad we'd been so late again. We set up and played Monopoly then--with Karla entertaining Brian and Lori's daughter, and dog the whole time. The distractions didn't work--she still won. Then Brian played a couple of songs on his guitar, singing. Lori fell asleep and we ended up leaving. It was sort of early, but all the beer was gone already. Wine was still there in plenty though--I think Brian bought Karla a gallon bottle. (I finished it the next two weekends)
Drove back to the hotel. There, we went to sleep pretty quick. The next morning was the noisy one next door. After, we had the breakfast buffet, then spent a little time in the room jacuzzi. I had the water on a bit too hot for Karla though and she got out and took a nap. I stayed in awhile longer.
Then we drove into Waukesha to go to my Grandpa's birthday party. We were running late though dure to Karla not feeling too good and taking the nap, so we ended up deciding to see the Texas Chainsaw Massacre on the Ultra Screen and go to the after party at least. The movie was great, but I think they toned down the gore a little, it'll be a good one to get the Directors Cut of. I jumped about 5 times and nearly knock K out of her chair a few of them. Pretty funny.
More soon . . .
