Tuesday, tuesday, tuesday!

Spent work at work doing work!

Then changed clothes and went to the Fan Forum at Miller Park.  I need some Brewer fan friends so I don't have to go to these things alone anymore!!  But I know you'd have to be a fairly serious fan to be interested in that sort of thing.  Let's see, got a free soda and hot dog and ate those before things started.  Then Daron Sutton came out (TV Announcer for Brewers) and emceed the event.

Someone asked early about Richie Sexson and we sort of got a bullshit answer.  Doug Melvin (GM) said he spoke to his agent last week and they know what the scenarios are.  My question is: did you ask if he was interested in a contract extension?  It seemed as though the choices were, stay one more year and test the market, or be traded, and I think there is an alternative, and wanted to know if that's still a possibility.

No answer yet.

Scott Podsednik won Sporting News Rookie of the Year award, and was cheered roundly.  He wasn't there, but Doug tried to get him on the phone so the 8000 people there could cheer him, but did not succeed.

Let's see--ticket prices are staying the same.  There will be a ball in glove retro cap promo night.  Jim Ganter will be a bobble head this year.  If you buy a partial season ticket package you get 5 300 Club passes for each seat purchased.  That's a nice bene.  I need to get $500 together and pick up a 20 pack season ticket deal.  They will try to open earlier so we can see batting practice.  Adults will get a chance to run the bases after games like kids have this past year.

Fans get to decide whether the roof is opened or closed via the internet.

A bunch of other things they will respond to by Opening Day.

Oh, and I missed a raffle prize by 6 numbers.  They picked 8801, and I had 8795.  The prize was an autographed jersey and a ball signed by all the minor league stars.  Damn.
