next day's entry

Thursday--nothing much went on really--normal day at work for the most part.  Got there early again without trying to, after stopping at the Gas Station for Caramello and Guacachips.   But who cares.

After work I'd planned to do some work on the bug, but Mom wanted to go look at the table we'd talked about.  I had half hoped she'd just go alone, I'm not really all that comfortable buying something that major without her direct input, especially since it's going to be for the house.  Thought I could avoid that by my Mom just going alone.  But in the end I went and saw the table and loved it.  A very nice walnut finish, with 6 refinished and reupholstered chairs.  The table has three leaves, center legs and a nice locking mechanism for when the leaves aren't in.  Classic Queen Ann lines too.  So I wanted it, then around the corner I saw a Queen Ann mahogany buffet, with similar lines.  The finish was shiny instead of flat, but that can be fixed.  It was $260, but they went down to $150 for us, and I got that on order too.  Then outside I found an antique mirror to go above the buffet.  $5.  Perfect.  Now just need a some long candle for in front of the mirror, and it'll be classic dining room.

I was a bit concerned Karla wouldn't like it, and when she saw the pics, she said it was nice.  This is good, I guess, but I remember all the catalog pics she sent me saying things were beautiful, so I was hoping for something more along those lines.  I'm sure once they are at the house and set up, she'll be loving them as much as I do.  Antique, dark wood like that is just beautiful, and with the hardwood floors refinished someday, how could it be better?  Lol.

Watched Friends then, and finally its starting to look like Joey and Rachel will not be getting together.  Thank God for that.  Also, TG for Jennifer Aniston taking off her bra and showing those nipples of hers for 15 minutes of the show.  Now that's MUST SEE TV!!

Scrubs I still can't get into.  I miss Stark Raving Mad.  That was a good show, but it's gone.  Will and Grace was sorta funny, and Coupling is still my new favorite guilty pleasure.  Not the best show, not even all that funny, but easy to identify with.  Guess my shallowness is coming out.

Hear Brian was in a car accident and wrecked his truck.  Bummed me out.  I hope he can get his life back together to join us on the weekend of the 25th.  It'd be nice to spend some time with him and Lori.  We'll have to wait and see though, I know how much a financial blow like that can have on your life.

Until, Monday then!!
